In this short video you will how to construct one of the most sensitive feeder rigs - the free-running paternoster.
This rig is not only sensitive but also very refined but strong at the same time.
Another informative and quality video from Andrew's Knots.

Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge. Aciu! I used to always fish with in-line rig since it is sort of a "standard" but now seeing your other rigs I started wondering. Especially this rig makes me think why would I ever want to use the simple in-line rig or a paternoster rig? I would like your comment on that please. Also, potentially it could be a good idea for a video to explain all these different rigs, when to use them, associated hook link lengths, self-hooking / traditional, maybe their variations (for example here you could potentially increase the length of the feeder connector) etc. I think nobody has done such a comprehensive guide on that or at least I haven't found one yet.

Thanks for a suggestion. Will consider to create a video about comparing different feeder rigs. ✌✌

Is it also possible to make this rig with 0.26 Preston Reflo Sinking Feeder Mono?

Yes. Still I would go with the thicker line to tie my rig on 👌 Cheers

Great rig Andrew, but how often should you change your shock leader
@AndrewsKnots
@AndrewsKnots 4 года назад
Depends on the usage. I rarely change them on my rods but inspect before every session.

50 cm. hooklink is always a good start. I use various Drennan lines for my hooklinks. Cheers

Colin, yes, that is correct. I used to bash those silvers in Magiscroft and Orchil fisheries. Good times! Cheers
