Terry Capewell Latif is one of many highly talented and skilled Bengali/Bangladeshi chefs of Indian food in the UK. Though home cooked Bengali cuisine is the food fit for a King (and Queen).

Another belter Latif! I live in New Zealand and have a regular supply of Swiss Brown and Portabello mushrooms so I use them as they have a more intense flavor. Also, I put finely sliced finger chillies in mine.

Super super times 10. Great skill and a history of plenty of practice. You need the right pans to be able to shuffle toss the food like that. If I tried it the ingredients would end up all over the stove top! It needs a wok type with well curved high sides. But this recipe is a raal beaut so I am going to try it very soon. I have all the spices including the dried methi leaves. Just need to get some fresh dhania (cilantro/coriander leaf) from the supermarket. Thanks for a great demo. Have to subscribe to this.

You can freeze it in individual portions , just take it out , let it defrost, then heat slowly, add to your curry as your making it 😊

Hi Latif. In your restaurant biryani mix powder. Do you use mace? Thanks mate. By the way I bought some Kapok buds. I thought they might be what I was missing in some dishes. However I was very disapointed. They hardly taste of anything. Thank you.

Do like this but I personally prefer the old school mushroom fried rice which only had a touch of turmeric in it and no other spices. Love all your other recipes though

I love your recipes but have had to learn to cook wfpb, No sos (Whole Foods, Plant Based, No salt, oil or sugars. I had to learn to water sauté everything instead of using oils. Had to learn to use acv, lemon/lime or balsamic vinegar, and dates, raisins or 100% pure maple syrup for sweeteners. Wasn’t easy, but got it done. 🙂
