Thanks, nothing too creative I'm afraid. I usually just find royalty free video loops. One will act as a base layer and is usually moving or evolving. The second layer is usally a grainy texture with maybe some flashing colour going on and I blend them in Premiere Pro.

Yep. It's the moody jazzy chord progressions and clever voice leading that makes Air for me. I realized today that the chord progressions in the Carpenters' "We've Only Just Begun" is very Air. Also, they're really into Russian composer Rachmaninoff, which shows too.
