To be fair the people who are making polite constructive criticism comments are actually really beneficial and you can tell the editors are improving from them. However there are a lot of people straight up shitting on the editing and I just don't see that as helpful

The end result is fine but since you feel you have some parasocial relationship with the old chef you're tearing about a meal that tastes the exact same. If you're gonna use metaphors at least try and be clever about them.

@@kdreadnought no what you’re saying makes no sense. The editing isn’t just the “presentation” of the food it can make or break the experience of the video. Just because there’s marss gameplay doesn’t mean it “tastes the same,” good editing can greatly enhance a video while bad editing can make it unbearable to watch. His analogy was fine youre just being a prick.

@@kdreadnought This aint it brother. You're suggesting that what people don't like about the editing is equivalent to the difference between the same exact dish with a different presentation. It's much more like using the same ingredients for a meal and presenting different dishes. This editing is so fundamentally different from the other editors work it's absurd, and saying otherwise is a slap in the face to anybody who works in the field. It's fine if the new editing doesn't bother you, or even if you prefer it, but don't pretend like it's remotely similar to the other style of editing

Lots of good edits here, but the big subtitles when Marss just says regular things is definitely not ideal. Also don't know about music the whole time, it just gives off the vibe of a combo video instead of just marss playing vs quickplay. Much better tho!

the audio edits and jump cuts were really good in this video! sure, there were a few too mant zoom ins and text editing, but hey, it was a good video. this comment section really needs to chill with the endless criticism of everyone who isn’t Ultima... the other editors are really cool and talented too! if you have critique, say it without being a jerk :)

editing feeling way better, all the more intrusive types of edits feel like they've pretty much completely been cleared out, love to see it editor lad. audio mixing has especially improved. i agree with others that some of the text edits felt pretty pointless and didn't seem to be highlighting anything in particular, but they at least didn't get in the way of the video's watchability(?), so even if the style's still not perfect it's still by all means made a huge improvement and at the very least isn't frustrating anymore

Good improvements editor! A few things - the background music is unnecessary, a few of the added sound clips were weird(the chicken sound effects were weird for instance) , and adding extra text over random stuff marss said wasn't necessary. The background music is the biggest criticism because you have to turn down the game volume a lot to add background music. We want to hear the game volume, not random music. The game itself has music. The dunks counter was cool though, and the zoom ins were much better. Also, the sub intermission was super creative. Why were words like hell and ass censored though?

I'm gonna be a contrarian and say that those pieces of text are cool. Sometimes... When over the projectiles and along the launch angle path, they're absolutely hilarious, but when they're just sorta around when he's talking, they clutter the screen up.
