When one is in this bed, the bedside table& it’s lights are too far away to illuminate the bed for reading. Also, the tables are too far away for the bed occupant to be able to turn on/off their bedside lamps or to set down a book.
Exactly. That bugged me so much. Those areas should've been done differently. I also didn't like the curtain choices, especially with the two different lengths. I do usually love what this designer does, though, and love this series by Lick.
Agree, I liked the overall look but form must follow function, bigger chests would have been much more useful and useable in the alcoves either side of the bed
I love it. My only complaint is the bedside tables being too far from the bed. I would use the alcoves for bookshelves or storage but obviously there was no time for this. It's still a lovely makeover. I would like to see how you would work around mint color. I have a white, mint, brown color palette in mind. I'm not sure it would work though so I'm curious what you could do about that. Thank you for this. It's very inspiring!
The mood board is a great way for it all to come together, I would add reading lights above the bedhead, and I think a blind would keep the window a focal point by day, and the cosy the room up at night.
Lovely colour scheme✨ Curtains need tweaking - make sure when layering curtains, they are the same length. Have the bottom at least kiss the floor, to make the room appear as tall as possible. Also keep the curtain headings the same, 1 with ties and 1 with rod pockets or back tabs, looks unconsidered. I’d strongly consider blackout curtains for a healthy sleep environment. Love the way the room turned out! Well done beautiful colour scheme so cosy and inviting ….however omg! I’m looking at the paint workmanship..the cutting in particularly all along the top where the pink meet the white very sloppy not a good advertisement for lick paint😢
The night stands are disappointing, too small, don't make full use of the width of the alcoves and are way behind the bed. I think a set of deep chests of drawers would have worked so much better, filling g the width of the alcoves, sitting much further forward for access from the bed and providing better storage.
Sorry, this is a miss. The bedside tables are not reachable from the bed and therefore completely useless. The artwork is too small and random. With that wall colour you could have used a large stunning floral or landscape with a grouping of complimentary work on the other wall. The rug is too casual; it doesn’t go with the other decor. In style or colour. And the bed needed some colour in pillows or throws - looked anemic in such a saturated room. The colour itself - pink and green - is a personal choice so no comment there.
The base colors are to bold! They remind me of the wall colors in the children’s wing of a hospital. Start over with a better adult shade of the pink and green perhaps. The rug looks like a circus tent. Head board is nice along with the bedding. Not very tied together, hospital drab! I wouldn’t want to spend any time in there. Im sorry, just would like to see it all started over.😢. I’ll watch more videos of yours, it could have been just an off day.
