What would happen if you buried Fairy lites in with the leaves? I’m wondering if that would work…🤔

I think that would work , hot glue it in place and then put another layer of tissue paper over it , the fairy lights without the plastic coating would work perfecly. OHHH SUCH A COOL IDEA Margurite ! 🪄✨🧚‍♂️

you can use cheap white craft glue water it down, or you can use modge podge

Greetings from Hyderabad , India. Amazing work. I appreciate your talent dear friend. I just started making home decor items. I learn more from your video. I like to make it. Please let me know how many layers you are pasting on balloon. Are you using green leaves .

tissue paper is different than using news paper, you don't need as many layers, i did only 2 layers then added the leaves then one layer over the leaves, you can use dry or green leaves, the green leaves in the mache did not mold. :) sending you many blessings.

Cara, my thought is using LED lights, less chance of the globe catching on fire. I do love the globes though and can’t wait to make some❤

You bet, I think I mentioned that too when fipping them over and useing them as globes to use LED lights or they will catch fire. :) I put weight in the bottom of the laterns to create a base for the tealight to rest on as well so the flame wont touch the lantern side. LED lights I did put in them didnt glow as brightly as a flame, and you dont see the see through effect as well with the items you put between the tissue paper. but they are pretty none the less. What colors will you go with for your lanterns ?

I really do like the white ones, but I was thinking light green would look cool with leaves as well. It’s going to be be fun exploring different colors and objects 😁
