Great video. The best way I explain passive income to people is using the analogy of planting a tree. You plant the seed ONE time, ensure you take the time to set up the proper foundation for it (quality soil,) know your market (climate,) and you will literally enjoy the fruits of your labor with time. I don't really believe in just forgetting about it like you said either, as it's wise to occasionally check up on it and water it if you have to
Thanks for the video. I'm 17 and have been doing freelance work actively online which has done well but now looking to invest a bit of time and money into something passive. I'm doing some app development which could do well though is a hard market - for this reason I'm teaming up with RU-vidr's to make apps for them and capture their audiences at the same time.
Thanks Stefan for sharing value add information. I am starting my online business and must say that you have definitely shared great insights to me to get it started. I recall in one video you noted that when learning 20% of the details from RU-vid, you must apply 80% of the learning material through execution. That's what really lit the fire in me in terms of getting it all started! I really really appreciate the value add presentations you give. This type of information doesn't get taught in schools.
Money isn't done in stocks with dividends, most of the profits in the stock market are done on capital gains. The average return of the S&P for example is about 12% a year, only 2% come from dividends. It doesn't necessary mean you have to be an active trader, search passive index management.
+LibertarianTV I make thousands every month and quarter from dividends I get paid on stocks I own. I'm not saying that it's better than capital gains, but that it's passive income. You want to benefit from capital gains too, without a doubt.

You want to do both. Amazon allows you to tap into their customers which is awesome, but the problem is that Amazon views them as THEIR customers, not yours. So eventually you want to sell on your own store because you are able to do more.

In Africa there are also people earning passive income through Multilevel marketing models whereby they become disttributors of either physical or virtual products and by introducing other distributors they earn a certain % of every sale made by their down lines.
Passive income is a total game changer; wish I had learned about how to tap into it during any years of education (right?). I'm surprised you didn't mention network marketing. I've seen so many companies that don't reward their people well but Plexus has changed my life via health and finances. It still requires work and continual efforts but much less than a traditional job, with much better benefits and pay. +Alexander Cifuentes Hi Alexander, yes it's another option, for sure! I know people that are successful with it. I'm personally not a fan, as often it involves selling/recruiting friends and family and can cause a lot of issues and make things uncomfortable. Some are also set up so that only people at the top benefit and most at the bottom fail. But it's an option none the less, I know people successful at it.

+Étienne Crête Start with affiliate marketing first to test the market before creating your own products. Affiliate marketing is super fast and easy - creating your own products isn't and is more risky, so you need to know what you're doing.

Dear James. Thank you very much for all of your vieos, ot of help. I have a question for you. Please answer me if you have time. I live in Israel, I speak hebrew, Hungarian an english. I want to make passive income, I woul like to make vieos about something... I teach hebrew, I m a ceramicist and I have business learning groups. My problem is that I ont know in wich language shoul I make the vieos. There are only a few people in the world who speak hebrew or hungarian, I checke, and all of the youtube channels in these languages get very little wievs. On the other hand my english is not perfect, I have an accent and speak ffluently but not 100 persent. What do you recommend? Do you think peolpe would listen to me in english anyway if my content was good enaugh? Should I try in hebrew to get more views than others? Thnks!
Imelda Clay Yes people will listen to you in English. People are always wanting to learn something. You could make videos teaching the other languages that you know or make the same video in different languages. Just some ideas for you.
+masterpiececondition. de There's many ways and there is no "best way". There's blogging, SEO, RU-vid, podcasting, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, JV, PPC, etc... many ways.
It depends what you are trying to promote. In general the safest bet would be RU-vid, Facebook and Twitter. I myself use other platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, Vimeo, email lists etc. But as an experiment a while back I randomly picked a product/service and promoted it only through RU-vid and Facebook to test out how far I can reach a target audience and generate sales. Fortunately with just a little bit of work, my content had a large reach and I was able to generate a lot sales. Even now when I haven't touched that campaign in a year, it's still generating me a bit of monthly income!
