▶️Ingredients: pan 9x13” (22x33 cm)
5 egg whites
100g sugar
5 egg yolk
50g milk
50g oil
85g flour (all purpose flour)
2g baking powder
2g vanilla extract
strawberry jam
▶️Ingredients: pan 9x13” (22x33 cm)
5 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
5 egg yolk
3 1/4 tbsp milk
3 1/2 tbsp oil
3/4 cup flour (all purpose flour)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
strawberry jam
▪️Bánh bông lan cuộn bất bại▪️

▶️Tips for baking a soft Swiss roll:
-don't need to preheat the oven (I’m sorry if the caption in the video is confusing), again you do not need to preheat the oven.
-don't over bake, follow my instruction in the video (after the place the batter into the oven, then turn on the oven at 375 F and bake around 13-15 min).
-then let the cake cool down about 1-2 min, flip it over and remove the baking sheet (parchment paper)
-roll the cake when it's still warm to prevent the cake from cracking.
-it's important to have a right parchment paper, I use this amzn.to/3vKIbZv to bake as well as cover the rolled cake) because if you use the cheap parchment paper, hot steam from the cake will make it wet and the skin of the cake will be peeled easily.
-then let the cake cool in the fridge for at least 1 hour

I'm in Canada and for me the egg yolk mixture needed way more milk and oil for 3/4 cup of flour otherwise it would turn into a dough. I would start with maybe half that amount of flour next time just to be safe.

My eggs are large about 60-65g including shells, if you considered to try the recipe again, i think u should wait ur eggs, maybe add one more egg if they are smaller than mine.

Can i use 3 eggs instead bcs i have a small tray size? And should i decrease the temperature or use the same temperature like yours?

Yes. You can. Don’t need to preheat the oven or decrease the temperature, just keep an eye on it while it’s in the oven. With 3 eggs the cake should take about 8-9min to bake

I’m curious about not preheating the oven. It takes my oven about 20 mins to get to 375. By the time it heats up, the cake is done?

yeah. u r right. my oven takes about 13-14min to get to 375 F, so I bake it for 13-15 min. if your oven takes 20 min to get to 375F, you should keep an eye on the cake while it's in the oven, it should take less than 20 min to bake

You have to have a good baking sheet. So the steam from the cake doesn’t make it wet and start peeling

Well I just tried this recipe and I'm not sure if my eggs were too small, but the eggyold mixture was like a complete bread dough, and nothing could fix it after that...

Why is mine so soft that it breaks completely if I try to roll? 😔 also the top doesn't brown, it stays plain. Whyyyy??? 😭 I followed everything to a tee

Bánh ẩm bị tróc da mình nghĩ là do giấy nướng bánh ko được tốt đó bạn, bạn nên sử dụng giấy nướng ko thấm nước nhiều thì cuốn xong sẽ ko lo bị tróc da. Vì bánh này chắc chắn sẽ gãy nếu cuốn nguội
