The idea is great but could be improved. The metal part holding the blade will eventually be cut in half. Watch the ridge of that part (starting at minute 4:53) and notice how it develops a black line. Jigsaw blades are extremely hard and the movement produces too much friction. The durability of that metal part depends on how hard the material is. Adding bearings or groove wheels to hold the blade could help with that problem.
