@@alayhathegreat3928 are you dumb 🤦🏽♀️ in this video shes literally explaining how to make your own press on nails. And shes making advertising for her shop. So?
I use a set from amazon that are so so so close to the apres one too they are called BRArt box and they are $7.99!! Again same exact form same thickness even
I've been doing press on nails on myself for so long haha, I use the nailene glue which is like 3$ on amazon prime and it holds them on for at least 2 weeks! 💕💕
I accidentally bought pre made nails like those instead of "tips" because i didn't know any better so now i have no choice but to use them all. I bought like 4 different packs smh.
@@EmilySusanah Yeah, I'll make them work for the time being. I've been using nail glue to glue them down with a thin layer of polygel on top but apparently I dont need to put polygel on them. 🤔🤔🤔
These are beautiful. It’s also very thoughtful of you to give us options of a less expensive version. Not to mention all the generous give aways you did. I see you out there giving back. You are awesome 💗🍭
All the money you'll save you can spend a tiny bit on nail art...but be careful because you'll buy everything. Currently cut my natural nails to use press on nails for a while. So excited
Do you ever get frustrated with your nails? I had medium length nails on one time and I was so ready to rip them off about a day and a half in. Long nails are so beautiful but oh my. So, so hard to do anything.
Yes it's just like the other person said. You have to work your way up to it. Start short. Gradually get a little longer over the course of like a year. You'll be used to them.
Marie oh wow! That’s awesome, though. Long nails are so beautiful, but they don’t work for me. Plus it hurt so bad when I bumped into things with my nails. OUCH.
You also need to have an obsession with a long nail because that's the only way your gonna pull off the patience!! Because it's a strenuous challange to say the least!☺
Jennifer Woofdfall obsessed I definitely am, haha! I love a beautiful set of long nails. Just got me, I have butter fingers and I also type for a living. So long nails just aren’t an option. But I definitely get what you’re saying! I made it two weeks with the medium length nails. I just missed the dexterity.
This makes me want to start an etsy. I rarely have matching nails because I enjoy doing them. Its therapeutic for me. I'd use gel and acrylic though, to toughen them up and give an illusion of an arch in the stress area. I have soooo much nail accessories I could easily do custom nails. What do people charge?
@@brooke3140 Please can you share your method of applying press ons with gel or acrylic. Was also thinking if the press ons are a little to weak to give them a layer of gel / acrylic. But would you have to buff the shine off the press on first?!
@@jaeda88 you can put the press ons on and then do them like you would your real nails. You could also buy hands and tak and do them on "someone elses" hands, take them off, buff the inside and glue them on
I started doing my own nails after watching your videos and especially the glow in the dark wish video! I love your videos so much and you’re such an inspiration! I hope to be as good as you one day!
They're beautiful! The accent nails with the holo strips are just enough of an extra pop! I've been subbed for a while now and seeing how much more comfortable you've become and how your videos are growing in a creative way is just awesome. You rock, Emily! 💪💖😊
FYI AliExpress has the diamond holder for $2.05 + .63 shipping with five tips. They also have just the tips for about $10 Great video thx you doing this one!
I am Here to Hear How You Kept your press on Nails last longer. Because Everytime I Wear them they Don't last long At All. So that Why I stop Wear them and Only Wear the Nails that Comes with the Nail Glue.
With nail glue it's preferred to use acetone to take them off but an easy alternative is using double sided glue stickers that usually come with press-on nails you find at your local Walmart. You can find the double sided stickers themselves on Amazon :)
I used to work at Ulta and we were throwing away some press on nails and I jokingly put 2 on and started spazzing when I tried to take them off, it felt like my nail was going to come off with them. >.< Luckily it just took some warm water to get them loose enough to pull off.
Could you do a video on how you remove the press on nails if they’ve lasted two weeks and say if one fell off but others weren’t budging please? I’ve been wearing press on nails they last about a week and then one or two fall off and can’t get others off and I’ve messed my real nails up and made them sore. Thankyou so much 😊
Your best bet would probably soak them in pure acetone to weaken the adhesive glue . And they should pop off . But mind you the press on nail might get ruined. But at least your nail beds wont hurt . Good luck . 👍😁
File off as much as you can from every angle. Use clippers if you need. Then soak in acetone or put on cotton balls soaked in acetone and wrap with tin foil. Let it soak a bit. Use an orange stick (wooden cuticle pusher) and scrape it off. Should easily peel off, if not soak again. If you want to glue the nail down again, prep your nail again and try to get all of the dried glue off the inside of the nail. Use the orange stick and if you have a file that will fit, file the inside of the nail and reapply with glue. Should be as good as new
Love this video! I’ve been buying press on nails from Etsy and they’re beautiful! But I’m thinking I want to try and start doing my own! It seems so relaxing and a great hobby!
I recently made a set of press ons, and applied them different than the usual technique, and they stayed on for 7 weeks before I had to remove them myself. I didn't want to remove them myself because I wanted to test how long they would last, but once it got to 7 weeks they was too far grown out it became uncomfortable. But, I pretty much used the Apres technique, I did my cuticle work the same as I would if I was applying acrylic or gel, I buffed the shine off my nail plate, used my drill to buff the shine off the inside of the press on, and applied it with some cheap nail glue I got 10 in a pack for like a dollar on Aliexpress, and like I said they lasted 7 whole weeks, no lifting, not one fell off or broke, until I removed them myself.
@@Caro-zf9ev I never use dehydrator, even on acrylics or gel. I use isopropyl alcohol instead it literally does the same thing. For primer I use Mia Secret primer, it's like $7 a bottle so it's pretty affordable. I didn't use the primer for the press on nails, but you can for extra security. But I did use the alcohol as dehydrator. That is very important oh, and if you don't have that acetone works also.
@@Meech817 thank you for the info, I just put some on last night using alcohol but I think the ones usual nails I use are not for me, I noticed they're really curved and my nail is flat so when I put them on I feel like the fake nail doesn't touch my real nail much idk if that makes sense but what nails do you use? I think I'm ordering the ones on this video they look pretty flat
My only recommendation is to get 10 nail stands so you don’t have to do what you’re doing because I would hate my life if I did my press on nails like that, just a thought to make it easier
You could make your own dehydrator. Go to Nailed by Nikki's channel she has a diy video on how to make it. Also The Nail Hub has diy instructions too. :) Good luck
To get my nails to stay I glue a sticky tab to my nail then glue the tab to the press on its fr on there I hurt to take them off wit just pulling some take them off properly
Youre making me want my pink hair back 🖤🖤🖤💚💚💚This is how I've been doing my nails for years. Everyone always complimented them and thinks I pay ridiculous amounts of money to get my nails done. It's so much less damaging to my natural nail than acrylics were.
I loved the video! This is exactly what I need! I’m not sure if a prep and application video is coming in the future, but if not I would really appreciate it! Also, if it could include the removal process that would be awesome! Thanks ❤️
love those nail mounts- on Amazon I got a set of those that came with 10 of the little magnetic nail mounts, the little gemstone base, and a metal storage tin that I also can stick them all onto if I want to paint a whole set at once like an assembly line. It was so inexpensive and has been sooooo useful!
Which specific top coat are you using from candy coat?? Mine is shiny and doesn't have the sticky layer but the problem is that leaves my press ons bendable.. They're not hard as they should be...
I don't know why you would make this video about putting on nails /prepping them with giant long ass nails on already...... But I was seriously impressed with your dexterity and talent in doing so! Watching you do this with long ass nails was hilarious still, but it would've been nicer for those of us without a clue, if you actually finished the video with applying them, showing how you do it, what you use, and tips to remove them. Just saying 🤷🏼♀️ Those hologram nails are 🔥 though wow! Love ❤️💕💯💅 I do massage, so I can't have nails, but this seems like a great option for when I have time off or an event and I want nails! Thank you 👏👍👏👏
Maybe would help with those little bumps of dust from filing if you wipe with alcohol or brush off with a nail brush or old makeup brush if you don’t have a nail one cause with gel it’s pretty shiny but regular polishes would probably show that a lot ...just saying ...but your nails are beautiful you did specially those accent nails ... thanks for the video
Not in my experience all you have to do is file the glue off. But they do have their limits over time the glue can be too much to file or daily use can break them or chip the paint. But buy the nails for like 10 dollars and you can make like a 20 sets for under 40 bucks! 💕
@@Justaperson354 Yeah thats good enough for me, the sticky makes them look like theyre storebought so i want something for daily use that'll still look good
Hi hun, I'm not sure if this is possible because you've been doing "Wish, Amazon and AliExpress" for over a year, but is it possible to rate the cheap Poly Gel and Dip nails from best to worst? I have a bunch in my carts to buy, but can't make my mind up at all!
PLEASE HELP I'm really hoping you can put my mind at rest. I bought a polygel set and some gels to do my own nails from home. I wants to clarify I am NOT using a this as justification to become a licensed nail tech with clients, but I applied the modelones polygel nails around a week ago. They're wearing fine. I did not feel comfortable cutting the cuticles so I pushed them back and gently filed in one direction with my softer side of my nail file just to remove the shine. I then removed the dust and cleared the hands of oil before applying an acid free primer and then a rubber base coat. I cured this under the lamp and then applied my polygels. Theyre thicker than I would like but I just saw that as somewhere to improve next time. I filed the shine off and shaped them then cleansed, more base coat and finished with gel polish which I thinly applied and a couple layers of topcoat. I then wiped down my nails and applied a cuticle oil. I want to stress This is a PERSONAL HOBBY. If I consider taking this up professionally of course I will train but just to do my own nails this is what I've done from The research I gathered. A girl I know who is apparently a qualified nail tech is telling me off for doing them myself but I want to see if its something I enjoy before investing in a course or the ambition to go professional. I'd love to know people's thoughts because I was excited and really starting to enjoy the process before she's totally scared me. Please help.
I do not know why but those little sticky tabs literally last longer than glue for me, as long as they get a solid overnight to stick down y'know without any water or creams and lotions or any stress. I find that on me specifically once they are stuck they ain't coming off, where as when i glue nails on they pop off all the time :/
I've always been into nails. As a kid I'd beg for press on nails. I think the longevity has to do with the glue application. There is such a thing as too much glue. Now I'm into gel, polygel and acrylics. My mom always knew I'd be like this. I do my own and my sisters nails. Bonding time lol literally. I'll have to make a few sets because I have tons of full nails. Beyou has amazing nails too. Great c curve and sturdy
great press ons.. i love press ons, obviously or i wouldnt make them and sell them lmaobs...ty Emily...and yes, i think those tips cme from the same molds as apres'...and others too.....oooxxx
This is great! I didn't know about the sticky tabs. I don't like to have super long nails, except for special events, and stabbing myself a few days before and after a get together sucks 😅
How do you make the fake nails harder? Can I place acrylics on top of the fake nails to harden them? I'm designing nails for my coworker who is having surgery and I want her nails to look nice. She's my test subject. The press on nails i bought from amazon and the beauty supply store arent hard like the store bought press on nails that are already designed.
So, here's my case, let me know what you guys think. I am a full time bartender and part time masseuse, so both of my jobs do not allow long nails. But i looove me some long coffin nails when i dress up or just have a day off. I use press on nails with glue but it's actually hard to take them off at the end of the day and also i end up ruining them... Any suggestions? *edit:the sticky tab doesn't hold for even an hour
Why didn’t you link the other nails as well cause I can’t understand what your saying as far as the name of the other nails, is it apres? so I can look them up myself the makartt nails are to tapered in on the end and I don’t like that look
