Yacin, thanks for the amazing video with great content! I'm a huge fan of the channel and your music Nowadays I'm listening more of Melodic House style in Lane8 label This Never Happened. I even would suggest you to take a look and maybe do a tutorial about it! I have a question: Is there a way to make your mix sounds darker or brighter? I mean, there are songs that drum elements and synths are "in your face" in the mix that I call brighter and there are other mixes that those elements are like "behind" just filling the mix but not exactly "in your face". Is there a "tactical" way to do that?

Yea, how has the genre 'progressive house' been hijacked by mainstream EDM by some people - There are so many tutorials claiming to be for progressive house and it's EDM/Trance...!? Progressive house has always been what is played by DJs like Nick Warren, Sasha and Hernan, so where has the mix up come from? Yalcin will always get the genres spot on, genre mix ups on the channel!

@@aaron______________________ You can blame Beatport. When the likes of DeadMau5 and Nicky Romero started coming to prominence they were mislabelled on Beatport as Progressive House because I guess they didn't really know what to call it and then, as happens, others started copying their styles and being labelled as Progressive House too and it kinda became a catch-all phrase for different kinds of tracks that bore no resemblance to the kind of Prog House that evolved through the 90's and early 2000s.

Hey guys, what shortcut \function is it to draw a line for stuff like velocity in a midi clip as we can see at 16:04 ? I saw Yalcin using this feature a few times and I find it really helpful. I thought it was the little pencil on top right next to key and midi learn, but its not even activated at that time in the video. Cheers

in styles like stan kolev they play more with efe and pads and atmopsheric stuff! try to focus on this and show us few things about it. Your idea is really simple and your style is always kind of sad mood and melanholic vibes on your melodies. try to bring some energy and aggressivness in your tracks so we can see smt different!
