Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials! I LOVE the fact that you use ordinary tools for making all of the things you do and you're not 'pushing' all of that crap from the craft stores.
Do not use a sharpening stone for that. Sandpaper on a flat surface or a file is much better. That stone isn't designed to flatten rough edges. It's for honing the edge of a knife blade.
I'm soo excited to try this! Being a "Jill of all Trades", I already have all the things needed to make these, and I just ordered a bunch of the coolest color-shifting paints! Thank you for making this awesome vid!
Can't wait to try this. I have plenty of tin cans. When I went to print the template, my printed superimposed all the designs together. It made a mess out of the designs. It all looked right when I started.
#1!, #8!, #9!!!...all very creative and nice, but these are my favorites...couldn't choose only one.😄 Thanks for the good explanations and for such a great inspiration.
Hello, new subscriber here! I absolutely love your upcycling! I already make jewellery from all sorts of things, but I've never thought of using cans, genious! I'm going to give it a try, I'm particularly fond of those leaf shapes you did with the flat screwdriver, stuning effect. Thanks so much x
Hi, I am happy to hear that you are interested in making some tin can earrings. I am not sure if you have seen any of my other tutorials but I have also made lots of different earring styles from aluminum beer and soda drink cans. This video will show you a re- cap of many of them if you are interested. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3TUVCEFxogA.htmlsi=FlbPLYbix4hTJSXy Also there are tutorials on my channel for recycled bottle glass jewelry and jewelry made from watch parts. If you want to check them out. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Cindy
I love all the styles of earrings but my absolute favorite is number 9! Looking forward to making earrings and pendants with this wonderful technique you've shared.
I like #8 and #9 if I had to choose. But they are all so wonderful, especially knowing the cost is minimal for those of us 'makers'. I tend to gravitate towards crafting things with costly materials making it very hard to be profitable!!
What a great tutorial, thank you so much. I've been looking for something eco-friendly to make and I love the recycled/upcycled ethos. Your earrings are beautiful, I particularly like the look of the rusted and painted ones
Wow! Those are lovely! I think I’ll give it a try so thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge and letting we viewers use your ideas! I think I like #9 the best (the leaf if I remember lol) and #8a close runner up! Merry Christmas!
Hi thanks for your question. I am not sure if you saw my video on how I prepare tin cans for my craft projects. It would be difficult to do this process just on the edges and I am not sure exactly what look you are hope for but here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1pRlDt_fwYY.html. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Dear teacher, thank YOU so much. I need money. I'm suffering economic violence. Im married and a house wife. I have two children. This is one way to earn my own money. Thank you. Greetings from Mexico.
Great tutorial! It’s hard to choose but I think I like #1 the best. I bc plan to watch more of your videos so it might be answered in another- but , I’ll ask here. Do you have another way to get the sides of metal less sharp? Would sanding with sandpaper do it? I just want to minimize the possibility of accidentally cutting myself when they are done- so just from normal picking them up. Hope that makes sense.
Hi Lisa - Thanks for your question. I do sand down the pointed ends and then hammer the pieces before shaping them. As long as there aren't any burrs on the edges they aren't sharp when handling the metal. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
