I just got a new set of silicone pen molds from Amazon, and I'm ready to use them. In this video, I share how to make epoxy resin glitter pens using BIC pen inserts. Each pen is personalized with a name using Adela Font, Character Map, and vinyl.

Just a tip for you. I saw on a video there is a way to make them refillable. One said to spray mold release & dry on pen tube several times. Vaseline on tip so won't get stuck with resin. Other said remove ink, plug both ends of tunes with blue tack. Put clear part in mold & fill with resin. Then remove blue tack & put parts of pen back together. I haven't tried it yet but I'm coating my ink pen (ink tube) with mold release right now. Just thought I'd share.

One way is to put straw in it to make it reuseable

I have those same pen molds, but I guess I didn't fill mine full enough because they were flat when I demolded them and I did a lot of sanding and they still weren't a favorite. But it was my first resin project.

Thanks 😊 The measurements are approximately 2.25 wide x 1.25 high. Depending on the name it could be wider but I wouldn't go too much higher.

Did you fill with epoxy/resin all the way to the top of the mold? My shaped really funny looking and cannot sand it enough to look better.

Hi, I tried to keep my fill even with the mold. I had to sand a bit but my shape stayed consistent.

Nope just used permanent vinyl, but that is an option.

The pens will stop working if the ink doesn't have air at the end. You will need to drill a tiny hole since the pen wasent long enough

I wouldn't, mine came out the same way. It's the way the mold is made.

What happens to the pen once the ink is gone from the insert?

You can try to replace the insert, but I don't think it's worth it. Unless you write a ton it'll take a while to run out, so making sets may work out best.
