A believer went to a barber to get a haircut. The barber said to him, "I don't believe that God exists. If He did, people would not be suffering from hunger, disease, and sorrow."
The believer remained silent, but when he came out, he saw some people in the street with unkempt beards, disheveled hair, and dirty clothes. He immediately went back to the barber and said, "I don't think there is a barber in this world."
The barber was surprised and asked, "How can you say that when you just got a haircut from me?"
The believer replied, "If there were a barber, the people in the street would not have unkempt beards and disheveled hair."
The barber said, "Those people are not in that state because there is no barber in the city, but because they do not come to me."
