Thank you! It keeps bread fresh for about 3 days. I like this option because then I don't have to store it in a plastic bag in the refrigerator and we usually eat it within three days anyway!

Two questions: 1. Could the dye in the fabrics be a problem? 2. How well would you say the bread would freeze in these bags?

Great questions! I personally don't have a problem with the dyes in the fabric, but if you're worried you can always use organic cotton or linen. You can freeze bread in these bags for a short period time, but if you're looking for a longer term storage, then I would recommend wrapping them in plastic wrap and store in an airtight bag. Hope that helps!

Hi Emily! Below are the directions. You can also see the blog post for more info: aspenonmain.com/reusable-bread-bags/ 1. Cut a piece of 100% cotton fabric that is 30 inches long by 9 inches wide. 2. Fold the cut piece of fabric in half (hamburger style) with the wrong side facing out. You should now have a piece that is 15 inches by 9 inches. 3.Repeat the same process above to complete the one loaf bread bag. Thank you :)

Width wise. So if you're measuring the length of the fabric, fold up at the middle, not from left to right. In other words, the two shorter sides of the fabric should be together;

What weight linen? There is sheer handkerchief and ticking weights, etc

In my tutorial, I'm using a 100% cotton shirting material, but I would say a linen and cotton blend would work well too. You want the bag to be breathable. I'm not sure if that totally answers your question, but hopefully it helps!

I want to make this for my baguettes? Should I just measure my baguette pan for length and diameter…how much extra should I add on do you reckon …

I would yes, measure your baguette pan length and width. For the length, double that number, then add 4 inches. For the width, add 1 inch. That should give you the correct size fabric, then just follow the tutorial the same way. I'd love to hear how it turns out if you make it!
