Here is great project to make with kids, I had the opportunity to run a workshop with kids and decided to make robots with them. In this video I show you how you can make a robot with anything, or at least just about anything. Then after you can see how what the kids made in the workshop.

Thanks joost! I sometimes can’t believe it either. Its very small in absolute terms, but I am amazed that 2000 people want to keep seeing me try to build stuff. You can always tell a friend who might benefit from watching a man attempting a maker project :). But anyway, I’m glad you liked it young sir!

That looks like a very fun workshop! Should be fun for a kids party as well, as long as you can do it OUTSIDE! Look at that mess! :O :D

Hehe, indeed. I’m gonna try and do this in my own workshop in the furure with some kids, or find spaces that can get a bit dirty. Because they went bananas :)

Your videos are always so entertaining! Thanks for sharing! I am TOTALLY gonna do this too in my Makerspace as a way to recycle all of my scrap stuff! Cant wait until your next group project - any in the works?!?

Hi Denise, thank you so much! Nothing officially planned on the kids-workshop at this point, its all hands on deck in my dayjob at the moment, but I just moved in to a bigger shop-space that I’m currently building up to host workshops. More info in tomorrows video.

Rupsbanden, tank tracks, caterpillar wheels?

I had no idea at the time I recorded this Flore, now I´ve also read that is just called tank threads :) I just really love the word RUPSBANDEN. (catterpillar-tires in direct translation) because there is no catterpillar involved or does it have tires. hahaha, Flemish is so dumb sometimes :)

@@ProjectsandThings Ik vrees dat we dat rupsbanden noemen omdat caterpillar een merk van (graaf) machines is die soms dit soort wielen gebruikt

If you need a bandsaw to do it, it's not that accessible as title implies.

All the operations can be done using handtools as well. (Which the kids at the workshop did) I just happen to have that tool and therefore use it for speed’s sake. The title merely implies that you can make robots from plastic/electro and wood scraps. Thank you for watching!
