Cool video! I've been working with some dogbane and I'm enjoying getting to know the plant. I find that if the stalks are nice and dry, the cuticle mostly comes off when I roll up the bark to separate the fibers. I plan on using dogbane fibers to back a chokecherry bow, instead of sinew, along with assorted cordage. Those reverse-wrapped dogbane strings are astoundingly strong! Fun stuff.
