That is so cool. I like how just basic materials such as cardboard were used instead of more expensive hobby store materials. The detail is fantastic. I can immerse myself virtually in the landscape. Thank you for sharing.

Simply beautiful. Your use of forced perspective worked great. A layout doesn't have to be big with lots of trains to be good, making a smaller layout means more time and energy can be focused on improving scenery and trackwork as well as detailing the trains you do have.
Thanks for watching! Thank you for evaluating that "enhanced perspective worked". It was an experiment that could express various things even with a small layout.
Thank YOU Mr Matsumoto. I really enjoyed and appreciate your fine work with your attention to detail, realism and FUN! I am looking forward to seeing MORE! With 2020 keeping us all at home- and now 2021 looking like more of the same, I have been inspired by your fine work to do something small and fun on my table top! All the best!
Thank you for watching. And thank you for your words of encouragement. It's fun to build a dream world in a small space. The second section is also under construction.

This small layout is outstanding. The nicely done structures look like you made them yourself and make the layout unique. It has inspired me to try a narrow gauge layout using old tomix track and 3D printed trains. Thanks for posting this!
Awesome work, plenty of nice details. BTW, if you want to check out an h0 layout in a much more reduced space, I'd recommend Central Los Andes. I was amazed to see how operative a shelf layout can be on such a reduced surface. So far, these are the two best ideas I've come across on YT. Congratulations!

A very nice layout. I may be modeling a 1940s-50s American mountain town, but I'm using track (and accessories) from a Japanese manufacturer. I also found your step-by-step description of your layout's construction very interesting, as I enjoy seeing the way model railroads take shape.
Thank you for watching! I am also aiming to model from the 1940s to the 1950s. The prototype is a local private railway in Japan. The track uses Shinohara in Japan and Fleischmann in Germany. Woodland Scenics' Sub Terrain is also useful. I'm looking forward to your layout!
@@tenq5503 You're quite welcome, and thank you for your kind words :); I will definitely upload videos of my layout once I begin construction. I'm also planning on using the Woodland Scenics Subterrain System, and will be using Kato Unitrack, as I've found it one of the most reliable brands of sectional track with the roadbed included. Moreover, a fellow member of my model railroad club (who has his own RU-vid channel) is not only very interested in high-speed model trains, but has also visited Japan in the past.
The reason I used Fleischmann is that the radius of the curve is small(R1/356.5mm) and there are curve point(turnout). Kato is R550mm, which is big for our layout. However, it is difficult to obtain now. Currently, most of the main line has been replaced by Shinohara.

@@tenq5503 Thank you for sharing this with me :). I will most certainly take your tips into consideration, though I must admit I'm a tad leery of using a hot glue gun. I also feel I'm in an opposite situation to yours regarding model railroad track, as I have no trouble getting Kato track yet cannot find Shinohara track anywhere.

The minimum radius is R356.5, which is the same as Fleischmann / R1. The locomotive has been modified to run on this curve. For example, the diameter of the front wheel has been reduced by 1 mm.
@@tenq5503 Good to know. Run with a minimum of Hornby/Peco R2 (438mm) except for a line specifically for micro engines (371mm). It would be great to have a layout only 3 ft wide but it's also great to be able to run long trains. Difficult, isn't it?
Actually, I used Fleischmann / R1 for the first layout. Now you have a vehicle that can run to some extent. This time, I used a flexible track aiming for a beautiful transition curve.
I will introduce it soon. Please see here for the method of grass expression. Unfortunately, the English version will be created soon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SistncCr108.html

Beautiful layout! But ruined by the steam engine not having the chuff-rate correct. FOUR CHUFFS PER REVOLUTION!! Ruins the realism and makes it not fun to watch the train running through your stunningly crafted layout. Sad.
