Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
I caught myself today going for any of your videos and realised it's not only because you're lovely but you have a very calming and soothing effect by your relaxed, feminine demeanor, even temperament, goofy laughs and well balanced being. In other words you are kinda therapeutic by your natural good vibes, it, much appreciated! Wish you the best life has to offer! Cheers -)
All the comments below!!! and she’s wearing a master baiter shirt, I love it. Your man is the luckiest dude in the world and he better know it. Yep you are that gorgeous
I love the shirt design. This was actually kinda fascinating to see how the lures are made. First time I heard or seen someone making their own. Thanks Heidi. Great video.
So, I’m in Minnesota, and a fair-weather fisherman - I don’t really fish in the wintertime. Summer is a different story, though. My favorite lures for bass are Rapala Skitter Pop, and River 2 Sea Whopper Plopper; sub-surface lures are Mister Twisters or jigs. I do have a recommendation for you. I think you’d really enjoy checking out the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area). It is a million acres, over 1,000 lakes, all connected, and very little traffic / pressure (you can only travel within the park by canoe, kayak or hiking). There are a couple of Facebook pages, one especially dedicated for fishing. Additionally, connected to the BWCA, but on the other side of the Canadian border, is Quetico Provincial park (similar size, number of lakes, but, less people). These northern wilderness areas might be an interesting venue...
My goto for winter is a hair jig, work structure areas like rip rap or docks. Get them out there, let them sink, work em back slow. A lot of the time the bite is on the drop....Got to say Elo and Frankie are super cool and great additions to the channel !!
I use mostly soft plastics in the winter here in NC. A lot the time I prefer swim baits. Water color and type bait typically determines the color of the bait. Great videos, keep up the good job!
This might be my favorite video! When fishing for smallies I could use those. For winter/colder weather, jigs with a plastic bait is usually is my go too! Love the shirt!! I'm growing quite fond of ya! 😊🤗
This is so interesting... I'll bet everyone was skipping ads like me... We should all watch your ads so you will get paid something for your hard work... I made some plastic baits years ago when I was about your age... I said in a comment earlier that you are creative and beautifil enough to entertain yourself and so was I when I was your age... And I'm still entertaining myself these days... I've made all sorts of things... I would love to tell you about all of the things I have made and perhaps I will if you are interested... Thank you for showing us the things that you do... And allowing us to see so much of your charm and beauty!
Awesome Video! It popped up on my recommended videos list, glad it did! They were some nice looking worms. I never realised how straight forward making soft plastics was. Would love to see more vids like ths one. Keep up the good work! :)
Wow you are a beautiful person inside and out who ever captures your heart is one lucky person , love that color it works really well in the lakes of NC mtns I am always in my boat trying to catch the elusive bass .
For months now I've been seeing a future for you where you get sponsored fishing trips. My gut tells me that this channel will feature that and thrive because of it for a long time. You're born to fish. My father always said, "Do what you love and someone will pay you to do it." You're already seeing that with your lures business, but that will be small potatoes compared to the sponsored fishing content you will churn out. That's my 2020-21 prediction for this channel. Best of luck achieving your dreams, Heidi.... whatever they are.
Actually, I have never fished in the winter, so I don't have a favorite. But I am just starting to fish again after a lot of years, since I get my licence free in the great state of Texas as a Disabled veteran. Love the channel, and watch it everytime a new one pops up.
I'm not a bass fisherman more saltwater fishing out of southern California but love watching your videos. I would probably use a Carolina rig brush hog as my winter bait. Much love and respect 🤙🎣
Either bait is pure money, Keep up the work all you put into it shows in the real quality you produce. Lip less two tap is about my goto until it's even colder and the Smaller profile Jigs get the nod.
You are a sweet heart. I just found your channel. I will defiantly keep watching. It makes my heart feel good to see a good looking out doors type lady like yourself fish, hunting and in the woods having a great time. You rock it. You can come hunting with us on my farm in Rockingham Co. NC. any time you want. It's a great game land. I look after it. PS. I use to enjoy making flies. You just inspired me to get back after it. Thanks for the uplift. Keep up the good work. Oh, I like the shirt. I will have to get one. Catchem up girl.
great video Heidi it was very informative, I've been thinking about making my own soft plastic baits for a while hopefully that give me a kick in the ass and a point in the right direction
I want the one with the bubble in it ! There is something very unique about imperfections and that’s what makes them worth more than the common masses ........ 😎. 💐
I really like that color, it will both blend and contrast with water weeds. Frankly, the fill plug that you took the Senkos off of looked like a good bait!
Just recently found your channel and I love it. Great video! Great shirt too!! I'll be ordering one for sure. Your beautiful Heidi!! Keep up the greatness.
Stepped out of the room for just a second. When I returned, you were sportin' the mask and whipping away with the alchemy. Thought I was suddenly watching LilRed Heisenberg! Thanks for keeping it interesting!
That was super interesting to watch. We don't fish for bass threw the ice in the winter. Panfish, northern and trout. But the plastics I use in the winter are like a half inch long bugs. Those worms you made would be great for the summer. I can see you have to know what your doing. The liquid looked almost black but they turned out perfect!
I go with a moccasin color worm, not any particular brand, just so it’s a maroon/red color. My go to in the late winter/early spring. Good job, you’re talented as well as gorgeous, peace out!
I’ve already had the notification bell all tuned up ! I have many different comments about you and what you do , none rude by the way ...... you are a very rare individual! While most young Ladies are trying to “ out make up “ or fashion this or that , you are out living reality and I think that’s very cool . I have a daughter that’s 18 and she is a world class boxer....... and a son that is 25 over in Iraq right now in the Air Force........ both of my kids are “ unique “ as are you ! Keep doing what you’re doing ....... it works !!! Sincerely, BlackHillsBob
My favorite winter bait is the Ned rig and jerk bait those are some great looking baits you made I’ve Ben wanting to get some molds after this video definitely going to give it a try glad I found your channel you have a lot of talent new subscriber for sure 👍
What a woman you are awesome Heidi where i live in UK we have European Bass my go to bait is peeler crab and Samson Enticer lures for my lure rods. You rock fair play.
Unfortunately up here in the frozen tundra of Minnesota there’s not much winter bass fishing going on. We mainly fish on the ice for walleyes and crappie with live bait minnows and spoons with just the minnow head. I never thought about pouring my own soft plastics so this was a neat video good job Heidi :)
Those look like they came out looking very nice, I'd like to make my own that would be fun! The master baiter shirt is awesome and I have very good luck with the frog bait lure.
I am definitely going to buy a master baiter shirt that is friggin awesome i love it. My go to bait is a 4" yum dinger. I fish a lot of ponds and the 4" in motor oil orange flake just absolutely kills em. Btw you are Gorgeous 😁
I have good luck in winter working a fluke bait slow on bottom Caught a 6.9 lb. Largemouth last January in with water temp. In low 40s Awesome video and great looking color u just made up!
Cool video. I spend a ton of money on lures so I may have to try this. I’m in Chesapeake, Va and mostly fish the bay and beach for specks, redfish, and flounder. Good luck with winter fishing!
New to fishing, but you make fishing great again, right now i am crabbing with crab snare and trying to fish for surf perch using camo sand worm berkeley, bay area.
My go to bait for winter's in New York is usually a lipless crank. Winter fishing can be ruff here. I'm in NYC so I usually have to go upstate or to NJ. I don't often use soft plastics once it gets cold but I will definitely put yours to the test if I win them.
Hell yeah! I have a new fishing channel and just started making my own baits. "Literally" made my first batch of Senko's last Saturday. I will eventually be putting how to videos up as well. Love the content. Threw you a sub. Tight lines man!
Go to winter bait is pink ned rig 3 inch worm or a 2.5 inch chartreuse zman paddle tail on a ned head. Great for bass, walleye, steelhead, pike, and gar
Hello lil red. I just came across your RU-vid vid. Loved it. Those drop shots you were working on in the garage. Are absolutely sweet looking. Keep your hard work. Hope your bait takes off huge. Good luck.
My winter bass bait is a chatter bait or finesse worm going super slow. I live in West Virginia and winter bass fishing is really slow here. Me and my 12 yr old son do a lot of trout fishing during the cold months. And that really sux with your deer season. But don’t feel bad. This was my first year getting skunked completely since I started hunting at 10 years old. But I was able to get my son his first rack buck. But there is always this year coming. Hopefully u get a big one.
On top of it all your smart too!! I like slow rolling deep water crank baits close to th bottom in winter. Really good lookin baits. Gonna get one off those shirts for sure and great video...good job! 👍👍
My go to winter bass bait is a tube jig through the ice. I had worm and lizard molds beck when I was Junior High. It was a pain in the ass back then and had to heat everything on the on the stove.
