Wow just found this video... I just got the wf10003 last week to help get through the lockdown. I listen to quite a bit of live music of bands that stream their live shows. My god your eq settings are spot on. They put you right on stage with the band. Much appreciation.

Listen, I have had these earphones for a couple of days and was getting frustrated. Years and years ago I swore by Sony earphones (the wired variety) they always sounded the best and complimented their Walkmans and any other brand of personal stereo. I fell out with Sony around twenty years ago due to poor service with a VHS player. Fast Forward to today and I needed some Bluetooth earphones for my Pixel 4 XL. I'd hesitated for far too long and after seeing a phenomenal review from Flossy Carter I jumped on an offer from Amazon. How disappointed I was hearing an over bassy sound shocking playback and was about to invoke a return when one final Google search led me to this video. I followed your steps and am now satisfied with my purchase. Do you know the relief I have felt now listening to my music? PS if anyone like me is streaming their music from their own Plex server using Plexamp, turn off their EQ in the app and use the suggestions from this video. Thank you my man!

Thank you so much for bringing music back to life! would like to note that turning up the vocal's and Instrument's on the Hip Hop setting, you get great Stoner Rock settings too. But really, great stuff! Just got mine and would never have thought they could get so good. You nailed the Rock setting!

Amazing, that is the exact EQ setting I used when I started using these earphones. The default EQ always sounded a little to quiet or backgroundie to me and bass felt to weak... With these EQ settings cause the bass to become noticeable and bumpin, but not increasing bass boost too much (70%) causes bass to never overwhelm, but also not sound weak. Voice clarity and lower and higher freq sounds feels way nicer and noticeable. For me, it works really way as a general EQ profile. I also love how with these earphones, the EQ is saved on the device, ao you could basically configure it on your phone, then pair it to your PC and the EQ is still used. Even if you don't configure your own EQ, the default ones are pretty good and do exactly what their description says. One thing though, I have heard using a EQ profile causes slightly faster battery drain, but testing this, I have not really found any noticeable battery drain compared to EQ off. Now if only i could also make a custom profile for the buttons you can setup, so i could make: 1 tap=toggle pause 2 tap=next track 3 tap=previous track Hold=switch ANC profile Currently this is static and music control profile by default assigns 'Hold' to Google Assistant, which I do not use at all (I like switching ANC profiles waaayy better).

Ha, the bass is the biggest criticism of the XM3's. I bought the WF XB700's for that reason. The overall sound quality on these are better though.

Thanks for this! I have a pair of WF-1000XM3 and WH-1000XM3; I can get the sound pretty much where I want it for the WF but I find it a bit more challenging with the WH. Your recommendation for Rock is probably the closest to perfect yet. I think the music I listen to just has too much going on. The songs that are my benchmarks are Eluveite - Luxtos and Eluveite - Ategnatos; if you have a recommendation for tracks along those lines, please share! Either way, thumbs up!

Great vid! the rock settings do not scale well with Comply Truegrip for Sony (for my liking). These tips really are amazing. Ended up with CB+6, EQ+5,+4,+4,+5,+7 for The Dirty Youth: Cry little sister. Ville Valo:knowing me, knowing you sounds nice outdoors as well. Finally managed to dial in Dead By April:can you see the red. Guess this is more a W-shape I like voice to be close I wasn't able to dial this in until now.

Yes, ANC does make the bass a little deeper. I'm not sure why that is, but it seems to happen on all ANC headphones.

The Sony music center app is also really good for non Sony headphones. Has the samre equaliser as the headphone app including the clear bass option which imo gives my libratone track air plus a lot more bass compared to the extra bass option in the soudspaces app. Edit just use it from like 5-7 because from 8-10 the bass is too much infront of the vocals

i just bought WH XM3 yesterday and disappointed to find out it can't play LDAC when you make any changes in EQ setting. SO i just leave it as Sound Priority ON, DSEE HX ON and don't touch EQ setting and let LDAC do it's thing. At least i can play with EQ setting in my WF XM3 and it keeps only ACC.

I don't know how to EQ but looking at your EQ settings, I think you got tricked by the loudness bias. From what I've read, you want your EQ profile to be centered around 0db so your whole graph should be shifted down like 3-4dB. This helps prevent clipping at higher volumes since your maximum amplitude wouldn't be as high.

There good and this tuning is pretty good However nobody that reviews these mention taking out the filters. That's really why they don't sound loud ( or in my case not as good as they should) theres a crap load of stuff in the tips to filter them Take out the filter and sound alot better and I'm happy now with them

Problem with WH-1000XM3 is as soon as you enable EQ setting it switches off LDAC and on SBC.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ru-vid.comUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
