@@shubus I love it! I've also personally been looking for more and more ways to "de-digitize" my life, especially routine things I value like flashcard memorization. 3x5 cards have SO many uses.

Funnily enough I am learning Spanish through my third language, English. But I‘ve gotten so comfortable with it, that this is most intuitive for me

I agree with you completely that having English on your flashcards can’t hurt and probably helps. Pictures are good too but if you lack the English you might forget what it means. And you won’t be translating in your head because you had English on your flash cards. You’ll be translating (if you do) because you haven’t practiced the vocabulary or grammar enough yet. Once you know it well enough you’ll just think in the target language. I’ve used English definitions to learn tons of vocabulary and it works very well. You’re just making it harder if you don’t.

I did that in my flashcards I made with several tenses. Add images for the infinitives or for each conjugation for each pronoun in some tenses plus make one cassette for pronunciations for vocabulary words. Docdeer in Amazon made the first conjugation cards with audio but with no images! Can people use images of authors that have witten books to sell your own cards??🤔

How do you make three word phrase cards? I mean, if you use examples from sentences you find the sentences are always more words. I think 3 is a good number as I’ve tried making sentence and word flash cards and the sentence ones always get too big for me to review regularly. 3 seems very doable.

Do you have a video about how to understand when natives chop words and blend them. Such as gonna is going to or cuz is because....natives chop words and blend into each other. Did you make this video yet?

Online flashcards can be effective too! I recommend either Quizlet or Anki, linked below: quizlet.com/ apps.ankiweb.net/

Also now is www.remnote.io (from MIT) which uses spaced repetition in a more traditional note/outline format. I quit using Quizlet because they no longer support spaced repetition.
