Nice video! I love In-design for comic lettering. One thing I started doing a few years ago is losing all the border strokes around panels and word balloons. Just keeping the balloons solid white takes out all the hassle of lining up any layers, and total flexibility of design and layout. I find the pages tend to look more modern as well without any lines. Occasionally when a balloon is over white or a very light color, I'll use a drop shadow or light colored line to pop it out.
Personally, I have a template cc Library: Group Text (transparent background/stroke. Smaller than the bubble to simulate inset/work. It also works around i cant get cnt+click to work) Bubble Tail I place it. The grouped text and bubble can be resized together since theyre grouped. The tail is free to move When I'm set up, I join the bubble and tails stroke by merging them. i group it with the text for convience. For me this is way easier, less fiddling between layers. I also template connectors, tail types, unique bubbles etc. Also: If anyone asks- i made the text seperate from the bubble because once merged the text will concider the tail part of the shape and justify 'center'. Aka lower in the bubble. But between the bubbles top and the tails bottom.
