@mandyd.6960 I did. The wax is difficult to squeeze from the pouch. I assume it's because I used a parasoy wax. It's what I had on hand. Could that be the issue? Otherwise, it went well.
@RandySoWavvy I just made a batch with soy wax. Fingers crossed it is better. The other wax I used was the wax I use for wax melts. It must have been the firmer kind. I'm still pretty new to this so I'm trying to get it figured out.
I'm trying this now. With the recipe u mentioned you add 8 ounces to the bag. The recipe will either give u overflow or not enough for two bags. I filled mine to 6oz each
Hi dear I tried your recipe for squeeze wax melt and it turned to be perfect and i am so happy with it. soon going to launch my own product. but while testing today I faced one issue is that it dint not get solidify. :( I dont know the reason can you plz help with that since you are the experience one.
Thanks so much for sharing! Will make this as my first attempt with the "smell goods"! Can I ask how much mica? What details do you have to include on the label?
You said 4 ounces of wax and 8 ounces of oil, but then you said you added 1.5 ounces of fragrance oil to the 8 ounces of wax you had.. 4+8=12.. this video left me more confused.
Hello, you added 4oz of wax & 8oz of oil. But you said you add about 18% FO which would give you 1.5oz of FO for 8oz wax. This is where I get confused because you only melted 4oz of wax!
Hello! My name is Starla, and I am the new owner of BeSoy! Thank you for your comment. What Brooke did was she used 8oz of the final mixture (the soy wax and the vegetable oil). So to the final mix, using 8oz, use 1.5oz of fragrance oil! I hope that helps! Make sure to do your own testing before selling to customers and follow all safety precautions
Thank you for sharing this video with us. I do have two questions. Do you have to let them cure for two weeks or you can use them right away and what temperature did you pour the fragrance?
I haven’t had much luck finding the disposable flasks per se. Every review I read has bad reviews. Would you share the exact brand and or company you are using? Thank you in advance!
I've always wanted to try this. Thank u for sharing. I did get confused at the end. I used 464 soy wax (4oz) by weight, 8oz of vegetable oil. My issue is that mine will not "solidify" much. Consistency is like runny/watery mashed potatoes. Was oil by weight or volume?
im finding the ratio that works best is 1 to 1 ratio. so if i use 5oz of wax , I'll use 5oz of oil. then i multiply the total oz (10) by 18% (1.8oz) and then you'll get the oz of fragrance oil to use. this has worked the best for me so far. The consistency is kinda thicker but just warm it up by squishing in your hands and it comes out just fine.
This morning I put regular water in my pouches to see how much wax is gonna take for 18 ounce pouch. It’s like 8 1/2 ounces of product needs to go in the 8 ounce pouch. That’s how I figured it out.
I'm confused with the math. I'm just wondering if you're counting the 18% from the 8 oz of oil. Because you say 8 oz and the math is an adding up so if you can explain a little bit better, that would be awesome. I appreciate it
Hi I loved your video, but I made these today with veg oil and 464, followed everything to the T and it never went solid, and the oil seems to be separating from the wax, plus the mica powder fell to the bottom. Can I just add more wax maybe? Or is there any other way to fix this?
I just started making these and followed your recipe to the T but I am using coconut oil. Its been 4 hours it looks milky but still hasn't become solidify yet. What should I do?
@@TheAmazon428 What temp. do you heat your wax to & do you add the veg. oil together with the wax as it's heating? Also, what temp. do you add your fragrance oil?
No, that’s the good thing about these. But I would wait till the next today to add them to a wax melter. Usually after 24 hrs it’s a better consistency to squeeze out.
Just search up a conversion from oz to grams. Also with the FO I would just multiply your total oz of oil to wax mixture by whatever percentage of FO you want to use. For example; 4 ounces of wax to 4 ounces of oil so that would be 8 ounces times 18% and that would give you 1.44oz of fragrance oil.
Hi. Can you explain little bit more your formula please? I’m little confused in regard the oil. The FO was based on your wax or you just add the 18% FO + wax + oil? Thanks a lot
@@brandyday6374hey, I’ve never tried the multi color ones. I would assume just put half the amount in the bag with one color and wait for it to solidify and the do another color and add it. lol I’m not sure though.
The hotter your burners are, the faster they burn the fragrance out of any wax melt/tart. I use an adjustable burner so I can turn it on high to get the instant smell and then turn it down so I can make my melts/ tarts last longer
This recipe does not work. I tried using soy wax and vegetable oil and it did not thicken at all. So, I tried 6006 with vegetable oil and mineral oil and both batches were very runny(like water). I followed her recipe to a tee and tried different oils and waxes with other 10 different scents that are very strong for me and nothing worked.
i used 4oz of 464 soy wax, 8 oz of vegetable OR canola oil. heated the wax to 185F and then heat the oil to 185F. then i added 20% of the total oz used (12oz). then i stirred for 3 min.
I use a electric wax warmer. Electric ones are much more safer because they have no flame which should be considered since wax melts are high in fragrance load abd extremely flammable and with a electric warmer you get a stable heat plate compared to a tealight warmer that average a 4h unstable fire hazard flame for your customers 😕
The numbers don’t add up for me to make 2 - 8 ounce packages. 4 ounces wax +8 ounces oil is 12 oz then add 15% of that volume is 1.8 for a total of 13.8 ozs hmmmmm?
Doesn’t add up with adding 18% oil either. Does the bag weight make up for that I’m guessing? I’ll be finding out tonight but I appreciate your video I liked it very much.
I hope u reply: I used your recipe to the T and it’s come out great. Everyone loved it! But now its been about a year and I want to make this in batches. So say i want to make about 10 at a time, how would you recommend going about doing that with the measurements? Thanks =]
@@rizzy6687 I use the same containers as her to pour them in. And the only thing with batches when I tried to do it is that the oil was too much, that’s why I asked -_- I make 3 at a time as of now…
@@devonrobertson453 the oil to wax ratio will always 1 parts wax and 2 parts Oil. 4oz wax/8oz oil, 8oz wax/16oz oil. and so on. The amount of fragrance oil she uses isn't 18%. I don't know what she's multiplying by to get 1.5oz of fragrance oil. She had a total of 12oz oil/wax mixture and 18% of that is 2.16oz for the fragrance oil. She used between 12% & 13% of fragrance oil. If you don't like the oil to wax ratio(because its too oily) try 1 parts wax and 1.5 parts oil. (4oz of wax and 6oz oil)
@@TheAmazon428I’m using 12oz pouches and the formula I came up with got me: Wax: 3.5 oz Oil: 7oz FO: 1.3 oz (12% FO) But if it’s too oily I’ll just subtract from the oil and add it on to the wax. Hope it comes out good.
Your coconut oil might be in a liquid form when you mix it with your wax to begin with but it always solidify once it's cold so that's why she specifically says that we shouldn't use coconut oil it solidify in chunks and clog the bags, bottle or whatever you use as a squeezer !
I followed her directions to the tee using the same pouches and it was a lil bit extra. But I used soy tart wax and it was wayyyyyyy to soft. I’m going to use the regular 464 soy wax and hopefully I get a better result
Quick question. When you added 1.5 oz of FO you said you were adding it to 8 oz of wax but I was a little confused because you started with 4 oz wax and 8 oz oil for a total of 12 oz.
So In other words the calculations is off correct? Because I’m trying to make this exact batch and when I do the math 12oz x 18% is not giving me 1.5fo please clarify thanks
464 wax it's best to pour FO at 180, i pour it not shortly after because if it starts to solidify it won't go into the pouch. Pour your FO that is recommended for the type of wax you use
It' s an awesome idea. I love it and I will try it to my country too. I can't understand only the recipe. You said 1 wax 2 oil. You put wax with oil together and warmed and in which temperature put the wax color and the essential? ❤ Thanks a lot for our time and for the idea. Wish you the best for your business!!!
