Another filipino street food that is not so accessible in Europe! Even it is, it’s quite expensive so let’s make our own.
Ingredients
SQUID BALL
150 g squid
8 tablespoons icy cold water
1 tsp sugar
1/2 granulated garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 egg white
2 tsp cornstarch
1 cup flour
2 tsp fish sauce
MANONG’s SAUCE
1 1/2 cup water
1 medium size mince onion
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp granulated garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp vinegar
Yield: good for 2-3 people
