Holy hell that is horrible. But I don't mean to sound rude, If you'd accept some suggestions, try to mask it with tape and use white spray instead of a brush, that will not only allow for a cleaner result but will also make for straighter lines and leave the holes in the mesh un-clogged. If a spray can isn't an option, a toothbrush and your fingers are still a powerful painting tool, just require more patience Same for the black, And a cutted and heated piece of water bottle can go a long way, try that instead of cardboard for the "frames". Finally, try using a stiffer metal mesh and after you are done bending it remove the cardboard and paint.
