Thanks very much for the great video and showing the process of the manufacturing of these excellent products. I own at least 6 different types.

Nice vid! Trying to understand the vacuum sealing phase -- 1)start with the fully made flask and drill a small hole in the bottom. 2)put a loose pellet of solder over the hole 3)place in vac chamber and pull out all air 4)heat vac chamber to melt solder and seal the hole 5)cool down, then release vacuum ...is that correct?

It seems that the little round object placed inside the bottom lid before welding is a "getter". It consists of a mix of metals, typically zirconium, vanadium and iron, and has a reaction under higher temperatures that causes it to absorb gases and keeps the stored after cooling down. Seems to be similar to how CO2 scrubbers work. Not an expert though in any way, but that's what i found out.

what is the name of the welding technique that is used in the mouth and getter welding, and what is the parameter of this welding process? Would you please answer me?

For mouth welding,it is argon welding Are you bottle manufacturer? Or you are going to set up a steel bottle plant?

Hi Phoebe liking the music 🕺🏻haha. Do you have any information at all on the glass beads used at 7:20? The composition of the glass, the melting point, or the name or type of it? Do you have the name of a supplier of this type of glass? I'm trying to use it for a scientific experiment at school, thanks!

Cheap imitations of vacuum sealed glass liners. Not nearly as efficient.

Disagree. Machinery looks like the current standard for industry
@StarwaterCWS

@@aaron_ong double glass vacuum sealed is older technology and about twice as efficient. Mine dates from the 60s and keeps coffee HOT for 24 hours. I tried the Stanley made in China and it’s lukewarm after 24 hours.

@@StarwaterCWS Not surprised the double glass is more effective. But isn't used today since final products are less durable. My comment is the machinery shown in video looks current state of art including for high end thermoses (e.g.. Yeti)

@@aaron_ong double glass is still used today. I think it is more expensive to make, which might explain the cheaper ones. But from what I have seen the glass ones today seem to be cheaply made. You are right about durability but you gotta see this commercial of a glass thermos…
