Here is a tutorial on how to make sting Easter eggs which I used to make this adult Easter basket idea. I used mostly items from the Dollar Tree Spring 2020 collection to make this Dollar Tree DIY. Everything is so cute!! This gave me some new ideas!! I've made string eggs for years. Placing the string in a ziploc baggie with the glue makes less mess by closing the end and leaving a little gap. I place the entire roll of string in the baggie. When finished just completely seal the baggie, remove the air and place in the frig!! It saves just like paint brushes and rollers!

W💐W! I’ve been addicted to DIY craft channels for several years and have seen hundreds of great decor ideas, but the Easter basket you created for your mom was probably the most unique, beautiful and transitional creation I’ve ever seen! Plus, you gave us a birds eye view of the process for making those darling twine eggs which especially help those of us who find it easier to learn a skill by actually watching someone doing it. I can’t tell you how helpful that was! Even though Easter has passed, I’m grabbing a bag of balloons the next time I hit Dollar Tree and try making birds nests! It’s hard to believe that In one of your first DIY videos you mentioned that you weren’t a crafter, because your ideas, your eye for design and color, and your skills are amazing!

Oh thank you so much for the kind words! I have always liked making things when I have time. Before kids I baked all the time and after I had them I started making cute little food things for them. But I was introduced to the world of dollar tree crafting around November of last year and now I'm hooked! I had no idea there were such fun things to make. As always you have let your creative super powers show! I am making these for all the adults in my family! And don't you just love those metal tins from Dollar Tree!! I get my candy from other places than Dollar Tree UNLESS i find something made outside of China. And the "treat" candy basket was so cute. I used green tinted coconut for the grass. Just put a cup of sweetened coconut in a bowl. Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring. Toss with a fork until coated. Use more color if desired. We use on top of cupcakes, too!

Very nice crafts ! You took a few dollars of materials and turned it into a $35 Easter basket ! This is also a fun way to make pumpkins for Fall and Halloween :) tfs 💐💐💐 Tinting coconut green works great for grass. and candy melts work well as "glue"

I did this back in the 60s, cut used crochet thread. I wound it around til I got what I wanted. Tied it off and sprayed with spray starch. Let it dry.

Hi this is so cute, the little treats I made them2 years ago but I made them in the small muffin tins with chocolate cup cake then decorated use it on top of paper grass I put it one for each place setting and it look so cute you should try it. Hi that came out beautiful i loved it I'm thinking of making a couple for gifts but only the candle holder with the egg and candy. I like the candy basket for a easter party 👍 Thank you so much for this idea.

They look so nice for spring on the candle holders. I was also thinking of doing some with white embroidery thread and adding colorful flowers 💐
