This is a guide on how to make competitive and strong pokemon for tera raid battles or for ranked gameplay in the Pokemon Scarlet or Violet games. This video shows you how to EV train pokemon, hyper train for best IVs and changing natures for the best composition of stats.

Easiest way for ev reducing berries right now is to farm sparkle drops in East province area 2; area south of river gives a set of berries and the area north gives a different set of berries. Much easier than the auctions since it’s not locked behind midgame/endgame requirements

The part I'm having trouble understanding is why Koraidon is gaining stats for ev's when Dragapult is doing the battling. Don't get me wrong, this is all amazing info I'm just just a little confused is all.

The entire party gains the EVs. Think of it like when the whole party gets XP after a battle even if they weren't used in the battle. It's the same with EVs

U can get tons of berries from the auction house and u could always change the date to get more... I've seen as low as 12 berries and as high as 100 of the Stat lowering berries in the auction house... idk the exact min and max amounts but that's just from wat I seen. Did this for like maybe an hour and got about 300 of each not even looking for the berries

Tysm i’m wanting to try the Koraidon build for the new Samurott raid (i already have the Annihilape build, which have annihilated Samurott multiple times) but yh i just wanna try the Koraidon build. If it doesn’t work i’ll just keep on with Annihilape the annihilator (i beat almost every 6-star raid with it)

@@ConConbtw i tried having the power bracer on Koraidon and defeating some ’mons that yield attack evs plus 28 Rufflets. It’s attack didn’t change at all, maybe bcuz it says that it’s attack is best? Dunno but glad if you could help me out here, also same with hp

Amazing guide, but I'm a little lost on the IVs. You touched on it, but didn't go into detail. Do you have another video explaining maxing these out? How many bottle caps do you need and how do they work? I know you showed the guy to visit to use them, but can you use them to max all stats? Would they all then say hyper? Can every pokemon have max IVs this way or do you have to resort to breeding if they start out poor?

Best and Hyper trained are both the maximum the stat can reach. You can hyper train all 6 stats in none of them are "best". You can max IVs on any pokemon this way without breeding. People do it with shiny pokemon all the time.

Respect for your work ! Im little disappointed because I tried for HP evs in first area, six Pokémon together held the ring for HP and only one of my team increased its HP stat. The others nothing. Why that happened? For what reason? By the way its first time Im trying this kind of training I have never knew that. By the way my pokemon that I tried this method is 100 level but it's first time that I'm going to increase their stats.

Yeah it's a lot to take it, but once you understand it, you can make any pokemon the best they can be

Before or After is fine, EV training does not affect the IVs.

I’ve defeated a lot of rufflets for my Skeledirge, but the attack still won’t sparkle? It’s hyper trained but won’t sparkle, is that bad?

It may have been used in battle before and the EVs have grown in other stats. You can feed it certain berries to lower the stats you don't want

So I got back into Pokemon with Violet and I'm taking a little bit serious because of the Raids and wanted to try competitive, so question after I Hyper Train a Pokemon for IVs do I still need to kill the pokemon for the respected EVs I never understood that they're 2 completly different mechanics then... Another thing does capturing a Pokemon will mess the EVs up?

On the appraisal view, some of my Pokémon’s EV’s are in like a solid yellow, and some are a translucent blue. What does this mean? I’m guessing the ones in blue have 510 EV and cannot gain any more EV’s. Is this right?

The blue is just a visual spread of your stat numbers. The EVs is only represented in the lighter colour over the yellow. The sharp spikes you see in my video
