Thank you - I just got delivery of my M3P yesterday! Learning the ins and outs now - videos like this are a big help. Thank you for taking the time to make this!
I added a usb hub to add more charging port for phone. However it has a led light feature which can be toggle on and off. However I noticed it turns on when driving and stays on even when parked for the night. Will that small light prevent sleep mode?
I did all the settings but my model 3 every 10/12 minutes when parked switches the main contactors on for about 2 minutes and then off again: tesla says it is normal... I can’t belive it.
My model Y goes to sleep in the garage . But then I can't use the app anymore, as I can't reach the car from the house . It basically make the remote controls from the app ( such as start heating or change the battery more ) useless !! When the car ends the charging, in say 20 min disconnects. Surprislying, one day I did forget to connect the car to the Wall connector, and the car did remain reachable ! Just when I connect to the charger it goes to sleep. Tesla customer service told me to keep sentry mode on, when I wish to reach the car remotely. It works, but consumption is 250w/h ( measured) , it means 2000 kWh in a year, quite a lot of money just to have the privilege to use the app form remote . And a big contraddiction to the philosophy to go electric for a better ecological effect. Any way to keep the car reachable I an economic way ?? thanks ! Giovanni Fabiani
My garage is under the house so the Bluetooth from my phone is always connected to the car, even when parked for hours. Does this keep the car from going to sleep?
Old comment I’m replying to, but he must be leaving sentry mode on, and every time there is movement the headlights flash. Stupid to leave it on at home as it uses about 4-5kw of electricity a day. I would assume he now ticks exclude home. If it’s flashing your house and he insists on leaving it on, ask him to park it the other way around. And if he’s still a dick. Buy a big spotlight and flash his house back 😂
This worked for me too with the help of TESLA_MECHANICS on Instagram . All I had to do was plug the charger into another outlet; press the reset button on the charger for 10 seconds. Unplug and plug back into outlet. Light turned green and moved back into garage all back in business. I was told by a service tech that this can happen if you try to clean the connector…
