Pepsi tried to discontinue the baja blast for some reason but the customer blowback was so bad they are keeping it out in limited edition. personally they just should put it out in full product line so everyone can get it everywhere. Thanks for the video.
It similar to bk chicken fries, they wanted to keep them novalties as a way to make money, but than they realized they would make more if they just kept them out forever
GarouLady It was never supposed to be out permanently it was a taco bell exclusive but last year it was out only for the summer and it out only for the summer again this year
Not where I live. Its been out all year long. I have gone during the winter time to get my baja blast fix. Maybe my taco bell stockpiles it for lean times. LOL. =D
I remember in high school when there was only about half a dozen flavors of Gatorade and when your buddy was going to the store you'd say: HEY get me a blue Gatorade! Now if you said that he'd be like: There's 5 blue ones what one do you want! :)
i have a theory that baja blast was created from a worker at taco bell. Everyday he took his lunch break he would mix the poweraid and mountaindew from the soda fountain. one day some manager found out about it and try to get higher up managment to get as a regular fountain drink exclusive to taco bell. if thats true i bet that worker didnt any compensation d:
+Tom Blank i live in an area where there is no taco bell. but at the grocery store they sell baja blast. let me tell you... I am addicted... so to each his own?
Oh man Baja Blast is my most favorite drink ever. That shit is so sinfully delicious I can't help but order it at Taco Bell! LOL Where the hell did you get that 20oz though!? They quit selling it around here MONTHS ago!
***** They still have these stoicked up at a local Dollar Store as well as Ive seen them at local gas stations like Sheetz here in PA, Im really trying not to drink much soda but Cristina loves this shit so on occasion she will pick up a bottle
***** Last summer they released in bottles cans and 2 liters. This summer they are doing it again along with Sangrita Blast. It's only available till late August.
75% Mountain Dew and 25% Blue Gatorade or Powerade. I'm trying it with the Powerade right now and it's pretty good! Since it's pulled off the shelves too soon and as the man says if you're not near a Taco Bell, this will come in quite handy! Thanks so much for this video!
Thank you for the video. I love mtn Baja blast. Could get it in Wisconsin but only seen it a few times since I've moved to Arizona. Your video is the best one I've seen on finding a close match. Thanks again, really appreciate it!
I tried the tropical cooler a couple days ago and I have to say that flavor was unenjoyable by itself. There's also an orange colored "cooler" which to me just tasted like orange gatorade in a different bottle.
Gatorade came out with a flavour called Arctic Blitz recently and in my opinion, it tastes very similar (although obviously not carbonated) to Baja Blast. I would recommend tasting that on its own, although you could possibly mix that with Mountain Dew in order to create an almost exact replica.
From the uk and I have had basically no exposure to mtn dew. In the UK the main flavour is citrus blast. because it’s like the only one I thought it was the original. Blew my mind when I had the actual original. And when I had other flavours I realised citrus blast has a whole different feel to mtn dew as well.
You can also mix Mountain Dew voltage with regular green Mountain Dew and it will taste very similar to the baja blast flavor and it comes out as the same color too but it won't taste exactly the same though
Hey, +CutleryLover what if you squirt a bit of lime juice in with the (2 part mountain dew, 1 part cool blue Gatorade)? I wonder if that would add the lime flavor just a bit or be too overpowering?
I found if you add 3/4 cup Mountain dew, 1/2 cup Mountain Dew Ice and 1/2 cup cool blue Gatorade it seems closer, the mountain Dew Ice gives it the lime taste
I have bought gatorade powder mix before and my thought was that it would work better using it instead of the liquid that it would likely retain more of the mountain dew base (carbonation, texture). Unfortunately, googling it it seems like they don't make cool blue in powder form.
13 years ago when I was in high school we used to do over half of Mountain Dew and the rest blue Powerade and we called it mountain power dew or something like that
I currently live in Los Angeles and Baja blast is mostly only found at Taco Bell. I took a trip to Honolulu and they sold Baja blast everywhere you go.
I tried this, i poured 50/50 mtn added about 1/5 of cool berry blast(blue powerade) and about 1/6 of strawberry lemonade (pink powerade) and it worked quite well but it did wipe away some carbonation tasted like it!
I personally tried Baja blast, and tried to decode the taste of the different things, I also saw a Twitter post on how to make the slushee with blue Powerade, and noticed a sprite after taste in my Baja blast, tried it with 7up as a sprite substitute, almost exact same, and the color is just a bit darker than the actual thing, so try sprite instead of the green Gatorade’s and I bet you that’s the secret code
Another thing you have to consider is they water down your drink from taco bell. So what I did was 2 parts mnt dew, one part cool blue, then I squeezed SOME lime in, not a lot, then added water to taste and about damn near got it perfect. Good luck peeps, and happy brewing.
You should do another video about how to make rehab flavor of monster energy drink because the recipe for monster rehab tea energy drink is a regular standard monster energy drink and some black tea and green tea
It's amazing how we react to perceived scarcity or exclusivity. If they released this as it's own drink available anywhere, it wouldn't be anything special. Make it available in limited quantities or at specific places, it has a cult following.
My favorite summertime beverage Bombay Blast = your favorite tall glass full of ice to the top you want this super cold then about 2 shots or whatever I feel like of Bombay Sapphire Gin and the rest the way up with Baha Blast for some reason all the flavors and aromas of that gin just mix fucking perfectly with it and make for one refreshing drink. Tequila mixes pretty well with it to but makes it taste slightly diluted where as the Gin it seems to retain its fizz and flavor a lot better.
Also, the issue is, the Baja carbonated water and the standard water in the Gatorade are diluting the flavor. More syrup is needed. Getting Gatorade syrup might be difficult
We had finally found a way to liquidize Cool Blue. We released it into a Mountain Dew batch and stepped in as shareholders. The addictive Dew and addictive Drug combined and became one of the most favorited flavors. We left rich.
Just curious, where do u live and what is ur areas gun laws on concealed carry and y do u personally have one. I am pro guns. Just asking. Love the vids
