I don’t tend to comment very often on videos, however I wanted to take a minute to thank you for making videos everyday. I so look forward to watching them and they come at the perfect time in the evening for me to settle in. You are very cheerful and I absolutely love your work.
Tina, I love that rusty hinge on the pink tag! Looks warm and beautiful. Glad you transformed the blue tag to make you happy! It's a good lesson for us all. Oh, I just love, love, love these tags❣️
Lovely tags you always have beautiful pictures when you use them. Now to find an oval punch it adds so much to your pictures. There all beautiful my favorite is the blue!! Thanks for sharing ❣️🥳
The blue tag turned out to be a star in the end, really pretty. Enjoying this series of your tags Tina You should have plenty now in ready for your next project. A simple piece of card cut into a tag shape, its amazing how they can turn out so beautiful and yet all different. Have a great Sunday with your family. xxxx
Congratulations for preserving with the blue tag. It can be so hard to not just bin something you don’t like but to take it on an create a beautiful tag! Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Love how they turned out. It was nice seeing the process of redoing the blue one, I needed to remember that it is ok if you need to tear it apart and make it work. Thank you. So enjoyed 😁🇨🇦
Thank you Nettie. Definitely it’s ok to tear something off and cover it up, if you’re not happy with it, you probably never will be unless you change it x
One of my fav videos that you’ve done! A love the tags and adore you and your inky hands! Especially since I always seems to have ink and paint covered hands when I’m creating and I know I’m not the only one. 💜💜
Morning Tina, what a lovely few videos with the tags, from the small to the big, all awesome. I loved how the blue one turned out, although I must say, I didn't find the 1st attempt that hideous, but if you don't like something, I know it worries you to death, but you saved it and it is a beautiful tag especially with that cute ruffle. Love all the tags and would be well pressed to choose a favourite one. Can't wait to see what you come up with next, a new adventure awaits!!!!!... ANYHOOOO have a lovely Sunday with your family, keep safe and well. Blessings and hugs. Diana
Thank you so much Diana. Yes, I just wouldn’t have felt happy with the first attempt, and then it would keep just popping into my head! Lol. I really loved making all three of the different versions of these, they were really fun to make. I hope you enjoy my 7 Days of My Favourite Projects from 2020 starting today, you might not have seen one or two of the projects that I am revisiting. Hope you had a wonderful weekend, much love x
I was thinking that I wasn't overly fond of the drab suitcases and then you decided with me and covered them up. Then tore it down and covered it again as you didnt like it. It went from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan and now is my faviorite Love, love, love there tags now !! The randome sizes say hand made to me and are much better than using a template. Templates make me feel stymied and all boxed up. I'd much rather think outside the box with my crafting !!!
When I do a piece I don't like I usually just toss it out. But, with that said, I did take a couple of them apart to switch them out/alter them today. Great tags TFS
Yay, that’s fantastic that you altered a couple of your pieces that you would normally have tossed. I often struggle with a piece, but even if you just leave it for a while and come back to it, it can normally be transformed..........never toss! Lol, of course that’s why my craft area looks like a bombsite! 🤭 x
@@shabbydabbydoodah mine craft area mess takes up 2 rooms. So your area is tame compared to mine. But I won't struggle with a piece very long. Better for me to start over or move on.
Love love love your channel! Just bought more digitals & so looking forward to using them when I start my second journal. Who knows where this may lead🤣🤣
😍 gorgeous tags, love the food dyed paper! Especially the pink with that pretty dye mark. I jus tea dyed for the first time so I have to try that now lol. Different sizes are great, a girl needs choices lol. Those little chain catches are SO fiddly lol 💖
Oh yes, I love my food coloured papers, it was the first time I had tried it, but I had a lot of fun in the garden last year doing it. I will definitely be doing lots more this summer (it’s a little messy, so I find it easier to do outside). Have fun playing x
I love your perseverance with the blue tag, I would probably have given up and binned it lol. The coloured inks are great, I’ve bought the mini versions but haven’t been brave enough to use them yet. Xx
Beautiful tags! The blue one ended up very pretty! You’re right if you’re not happy with something you’re just not happy. That’s how I felt about those painted tags I filmed for Rachel’s challenge. I’m still not happy..I need to try again, lol! 😂
Lol, I haven’t seen your painted tags yet, they are in my watch later list. You are right though, it really irritates when you’re not happy with something, and you just can’t leave it! X
I knew the hardest one to make was going to be your favorite. You could have covered it up a little bit with gold paint or gesso. I am just finishing sewing the tags from yesterday. I will finish them and then put things away. Much love ❤
Love those tags. I am always looking for ways to use bright colored oxides in stuff but end up using the standard vintage photo by itself. Thank you for the motivation :-)
Hello Tina!! I find if my piece of paper fits the punch but is hard to hold on to, I will add a sticky note to an end just to help me hold the small piece while using the punch. Love these tags!!!
Hi Tina, wow, they ALL like so pretty. It’s really hard to pick a favorite!! I love the Victorian velvet distress ink. I’m wondering if it looks different because your new one is the oxide. I just purchased a few of the oxides, but they didn’t have the Victorian velvet. I haven’t tried them yet. But now I don’t know if I want the Victorian velvet in the oxide. Like you, I don’t think I’ll like it as much as the regular distress ink. Hugs 🤗
Thank you so much Linda, they do look really pretty don’t they? That food colour paper just makes for a such lovely background. I felt the same about the Victorian Velvet too, I do like it now though, I think I was just a bit surprised at how different it was to the distress ink version. Have fun with your new oxides, they really are awesome to play with and get some different looks x
Blue Tag: Marta @ Maremi Small Art says you can always gesso over stuff you don't like. That just pop into my head as I was watching you redo the blue tag. Haha! Austin, TX USA PS- I'd trade you the blue tag for one of MINE!!!
There is such a difference in regular distress ink and oxide. They both have their places in the art world, but you need to choose the right one for the job you want it to do. Victorian Velvet is a pale color anyway, but it just couldn’t compete with the darker colors around it. You might have had better luck with regular distress, but you were using oxide. You mentioned stamping with distress ink. Regular distress is not made for stamping, but oxide stamps beautifully. Just keep playing with them, and you will find what formula and colors work best for you.
Thank you so much Jean, I really appreciate you sharing, I am new to the oxides, but have been finding them fantastic so far. I am loving having some different colours though x
