How To Make Tearout. Part 2. This is how to make dubstep for beginners. We are going to learn the basics of making tearout and riddim. This part we learn how to use serum easily, make bass patches, make dubstep sounds, and create a drop. There are little tricks that are helpful to know that I've learned from the best dj/producers online like Kompany, Barely Alive, Virtual Riot, GAWM, and others.
I included some free downloads:
Ableton Starter Dubstep Template: (Open the pack, choose where to save file on your computer, go to the new Ableton file and open it)

Free Melody Loop:

I've been trying to get this right for three years, and you're the only guy here whose explanation actually makes SENSE. Not to mention you're not full of yourself like so many others. Thanx a lot!!!

Shoot. Thank you Drip. This was very concise. I’m coming over to ableton from fl studio and this just helped more than I can explain with all the important stuff being to the point. The stuff that takes time to get down through trial and error. This takes me back to watching @Dubspot videos for the first time back in the day. Just getting into taking this seriously, and with no music theory then, just a drive to learn. Again…thanks man.
@Dripment

Love the support man! Glad you are transitioning to ableton easily cause it’s the best!! I used to love those old dubspot videos, some of the first tuts I ever watched. If you ever need more hands on help join my discord in the description of my new videos and we can help you with anything there! Voice channels usually have people in it

Hey man is there any way u can let me know what the tools are that you use and where to find them IE. your eq ,saturator,ott and glue compressor I’m new and pretty lost lol thank u very much!!

Just out of curiosity for your own projects do you put a limiter or gain stage your tacks to have headroom? lol I just saw that master fader stay red and clip.
@Dripment
@Dripment 3 года назад
Yeah sometimes each track has a pro l and I group elements and send them to pro l in groups then add compression ozone and another pro l on the master. It shouldn’t usually show red line on master lol the pro l would stop that

@@Dripment bruhh i’m almost done with the song I have to add an intro in Outro and I think I’m going to add some more SFX And vocals and I’m Gucci but the song Erie tiny bit of riddim but maaaaaan I’m having a hard time with tear outs i tried to follow your video and I couldn’t because I got a headache I end up going to sleep I just shut the computer off lmao

I'm using Ableton Live Intro until I can afford to upgrade, for some reason when I insert a MIDI clip it will only allow the option for an "empty MIDI clip" and won't play any sound when building the note structure. What to do??
@Dripment
@Dripment 10 месяцев назад
There could be a couple different reasons the instrument isn’t playing, make sure you check the solo button on the side, make sure you can hear see your instrument loaded up in the midi track first or you can’t hear anything. Load up an instrument on the side of Ableton like a simpler or impulse, click the arrow under impulse and choose a sound then try to write your midi 👍🏽😎

I'm not sure how to feel about this. A lot of tearout tracks don't have double high-hats. And, they aren't as fast as you made yours. Typically, you have a simple kick-snare, crash symbols atop the kick, and high-hats that follow the standard pattern of the metronome. Your kick-snare reminds me of generic Skrillex, or maybe Barely Alive. Nonetheless, this is really cool.
