This video talks about how to make the @Ambrogio Robot lawn mower cross a driveway, or maintain two areas connected by a long corridor with a built-in software feature called Corridor. The corridor software feature is built-in and automatically activates when two sides of the perimeter wire are separated by 10" for a minimum of 2 meters (6 feet 6 inches). It is necessary to defeat the corridor software feature when the wires cross a driveway, otherwise the robot will cross the driveway occasionally at random times, which would be undesirable. There are special wire shapes that can be staked at either end of the corridor to defeat the corridor software feature.
The assumption in the video is that there are thin grooves cut into the driveway exactly 10" apart from each other. The curved shapes to defeat the corridor feature are staked in the grass at both ends of the corridor.
It is also possible to use existing cracks such as concrete expansion joints, but this will cause the robot to "mow" the driveway. This can be defeated as well with driveway gates, discussed in this book on Ambrogio Installation:
