Went to Jamaica years ago as a child and have been absolutely dying to have some festival as it was one of the best foods I ate there. so excited to try this
And I am on my way to experiment ❗🤗 It's been 22 years since I've left Jamaica. Every Friday night I went into town and purchased festival and jerk chicken. Now let me go make some magic in my kitchen🎉🎉🎉 Festival and steamed mackerel. I'm so excited
Hey sis we're here with you! What a great recipe.. When you broke it apart it looked nice and pillowy inside. I can only imagine how amazing this must taste with the jerk chicken. You are truly a blessing to whomever gets the opportunity to eat at your table. We left a big thumbs up💖💖💖
I'm not Jamaican, but my husband is, so I'm trying my best to cook something that he likes (me and our kids, either). I like a lot festivals from little corner shop on the Waves beach. The lady makes them with spicy taste, so I'm trying to add in a dough a bit of ginger and nutmeg powder😊
I just now found this video because i wanted to learn how to make festival...Girrrrrrrrrl let me tell you i made them and followed your recipe to a T.... my family is ravingggggg about them...they taste soooo gooooood....Thanks alot hun🤗🤗🤗🤗
I never knew what Festival was! Thanks for sharing. I love how it looks soft and nice. I enjoyed your video, and me love how yo go fram dialect to de Queen’s English wid ease 🤣😂😄. You have a nice voice too! Good teaching video!
when mi tell yuh seh, dah recipe yah bad!! it bad!!...perfect everytime, mi use self rising flour instead, but only add the cornmeal, sugar and milk. Golden, not too crispy and soft on the inside . Thanks so much for Sharing your recipe :-)
Thank you so much for this I just subscribed I’ve been wanting to learn how to make Jamaican food for the longest time. Also I could listen to you all day
I'm wondering if there is something you can do with stale or leftover festival. I find they do turn into bricks sooner than later, but wondering if they can be repurposed so they don't go to waste
I've made these last week , they are beautiful. Always have them in Jamaica. When I made them I stored them in a tupperware box and all went hard. Made some more today and left them out on the side, so far still crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. But I really need to put them to bed 🛌. Love from the UK x
