That looks so fantastic...since you asked, my friend's Mom is pretty similar but also uses some sour cream..gives it a little more zing and creaminess...love your channel!~cheers!
Mas king this tonight for our dinner on the grounds at church tomorrow for memorial day!!!! Thank you nicole.ive watched several cooks make mac n cheese, but yours looks to be the one!!
If you want GREAT food recipes most people in the South will amaze and knock your tastebuds into submission. We have our own family recipe but I'm going to watch this and give it a try.
Gotta appreciate fast cars smart drivers and great people knowing how to have fun and more importantly safe! Nothing beats that. Thank ya'll for another great video.
About 15 to 20 minutes before it’s ready to come out try putting the French’s crispy onions the ones in the can on top and then put it back in the oven .. Let it get nice and crispy it is delicious adds another little kick to it… I also use Runzone’s rigatelli number 124 .really good
I adopted my mother-in-laws easy Mac n cheese recipe. I just layer elbows, shredded cheese, dots of butter, & S&P (twice) in a casserole dish. Then I pour about a half cup milk in & bake at 350 for 30 min. We love it this way, but I’m tempted to try yours.
You are so funny! I really love watching your videos...I will be using this for Thanksgiving this year. I honestly never thought about putting cheese in the middle.
I do mac and cheese the same way but for a change I will add tuna fish or chicken with peas and carrots and get the best of all the worlds. Thanks it was great.
One of the better Mac n' Cheese recipes. I use sour cream and cheddar with just a bit of cream/milk to thin it. Salt pepper a bit of butter and viola'. All in one pot. Grated parm. for an extra kick.
Actually I don't have a secret for the PERFECT MAC & CHEESE - After watching your video "NOW I DO". Thank you very much for this recipe and I know it's going to be a big hit with my sons. Thank you again. P.S.: So That's How "CREAMY" Mac & Cheese Is Made. Wow!!!
I’ve had such a craving for homemade mac & cheese. I found a recipe with the gruyere & sharp cheddar cheeses which sounds delish. The only thing is I don’t know how much of the gruyere cheese to use because it’s so rich. I know it’s less than the cheddar. This recipe looks SO RICH & DELICIOUS, YUM YUM!!!!! I can’t wait to make it😊
First meal I learn to cook, still a favorite!❤️ Thank you for your recipe! I love to add sharp cheddar along with Swiss, even some American. It tastes wonderful.
Sounds great. I like to microplane 1T of onion when making the roux because I like the flavor but not the chunks. A pinch of cayenne is good too. A Mexican friend of mine adds jalapeño, some homemade salsa, or pico de gallo for her family. That's the great thing about M&C....you can customize it. 😊
My son is gonna love this if I can get this right, girl! Thank you 💓 P.S. NEVER MADE HOMEMADE Mac-n-cheese, ever....but buying ingredients today to surprise my kid.....
My favorite way to eat mac & cheese is straight from the fridge , cold and slapped between two slices of warm heavily buttered toast . I've been eating these sandwiches since the early 60's ❤
Seriously only have used my food processor so far to shred cheese. It has paid for itself with all the quiche I make. And I don't skin my fingers and thumb using a hand grater.
The sour cream doesn't curdle when you bake the casserole? I remember my dad making some sort of baked ham casserole with sour cream in it and it always curdled. I hated that texture so I've just never tried it myself. Hmm 🤔interesting. Maybe it was a temperature thing?
Hi my name is Diane Miller I'm from Sacramento California and I just want to give you two thumbs up on the macaroni and cheese 👍👍 I am going to cook this for me and my family and I will comment you back in a few days
Thank you for sharing your delicious looking version😋Yum!(I will try your version, I'm sure I'll love it)👍 My secret ingredient to my Mac n' Cheese that everyone loves is, Sorry, but it's a secret, right? 😂😆
@@karetoev4999 No unfortunatly not an option either my daughter is autistic and has food avoidance which at time is very restrictive. She loves cheese though which is why I love the recipe and will be giving it a go
You shouldn't be able to taste mustard. It just rounds out the flavors instead of tasting mustard. However, decrease the amount of leave it out if you have to. No worries!
@@dawnmontoya4444 I will try with and without see how we get on. It would be nice if blends in as could share with my daughter too without making separate batches
If your family doesn't like mustard just leave it out. Some fancy restaurants where I live add a bit of truffle oil for flavoring. I don't care for it & I think that would be a turn off for most kids too.
Add evaporated milk to the rue, so when you bake it, it doesn’t come up dry. It was creamy at pot, and the cream “evaporated” when you spooned it. You need to add a can to “maintain” the creamy ness from the pot. Trust me ;)
