I don't have detailed knowledge about stainless steel, so I may be wrong, but I think this wire is maybe SUS304 type of stainless steel. This is because the description of the online store I always buy from says "SUS 304". *Reference web store: item.rakuten.co.jp/makelure/wooy_rebass_304h/?s-id=pc_shop_recommend&rtg=33a21df029e6d7a12535aea405fc8e14 .
Hi, thank you for publishing these videos. I also make Crankbaits and have gained a lot of great ideas from watching your work. I was wondering what is the name of the company that manufactures the stainless wire you use. I can see their logo but cannot make it out completely. Thanks for the help.
Hi, thanks for your message. I use stainless wire manufactured by "NT swivel". This company is famous in Japan for fishing swivels, but they also sell stainless wire. Unfortunately, there is no English home page, but here are the URLs for the Japanese website and web catalog. *Website: nt-swivel.co.jp/wire_sonota.html . *Web Catalog: nt-swivel.co.jp/image/20NT-39p.pdf .
hi thanks for sharing all this knowledge :) do u think you gonna make a video about how to make the blade for it ? i got some trouble with the shape , the blade not spinning fast and not making the "noise"
Thank you for your message. I buy the hooks from MARUTO. This company sells only in Japan, so if you get them outside of Japan, you can find hooks with the same design from Ownerhooks or Gamakatsu. I like big hooks, so I use hook size around No 3/0. The hook does not necessarily have to be placed inside the weight, but the lure is less likely to break if the hook is placed inside the weight. It takes a little time to drill holes in the weights, but I recommend putting the hooks inside the weights. *MARUTO fishing hook (Japan): www.fishhook.co.jp/cm-shop/no_1986.html . *Owner hook: www.ownerhooks.com/product/spinner-bait-hook/ . *Gamakatsu hook: gamakatsu.com/product/spinner-bait-hooks/ .
In this video, I used mass-produced buzz-bait blades, but you can also make your own blades using the drawing here. *Buzz bait blade (Drawing): drive.google.com/file/d/1b2USTUCS9I5g4z0YVu_mAWxBC5CkMOST/view?usp=sharing . *How to make a Buzzbait blade (RU-vid Video): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Npj--szCMuY.html .
