How to Make the Life is Abundant Calendar Collection Crafty Goals Planner

Do you set Crafty Goals? I mean, we set goals for our health, for our work life, for our finances, why not set goals for how we craft? Every year for the past few years, I have been part of a collaboration on setting goals each month as part of my Crafty life, and this year is no different except the main focus this year is to use my stash. No matter what kind of creative arts you do, if you fail to plan your crafts, you plan to fail at your crafty goals.
S|I used Graphic 45's Life is Abundant Calendar Collection to make this planner. This video shows how I actually make the planner. Upcoming videos will show me decorating the monthly pages. If you want to make this here is my affiliate link for the 8X8 paper pad:shrsl.com/4cvr8
I used 65 lb weight for the book plus medium weight chipboard. (Heavy weight chipboard will work.

Here is my story: in 2019 I sold my house and everything in it and moved into a RV. The plan is to travel all over the US and enjoy the great outdoors with my husband. We chose a RV model that had an extra room with bunks, but instead of bunks I have a desk and drawers. It is a small craft room, but I enjoy crafting in between hikes.

Hi! I understand what it is like to have hordes of paper. I don’t have that much but I still want to use it! And once I open a pack- my goal it to use it all. I’ll be showing quick ways to use leftover paper!

Please let me know how it turns out! Yes, we papercrafters love to own all of the paper and hate to cut into it. But a few years ago I thought to honor the paper the best thing I could do was to let it go out into the world instead of in my dark cabinet!

You know, now that I have seen it, I wish I had purchased more of the collection. But I was challenging myself to keep it simple. But I wish I had at least purchased some 12X12 to make the cover. Hello Lisa, welcome! Glad to have you aboard! I do have a video of my RV craft room, I’ll link it in a bit. Are you going full time or a weekend warrior? My advice- don’t stock up on supplies- get good tools, purchase consumables as you go.

Thanks for the tips about supplies/tools Debbie, and sharing your rv craft tour! Beautiful RV, we've looked at several gorgeous Grand Design rigs! We're going to full time RV as long as our health holds out. Neither of us particularly ever want to set foot in snow again lol. I have 2 years to bust through a decade or so of paper/yarn accumulation and figure out exactly what it is that brings me joy. I have a love/hate relationship with my cricut, but it sure would be handy and lighter to not drag pounds of metal dies around either. Then I think we'll, you'll have time to really figure out the cricut and all that. Luckily my partner is crafty too and very supportive of me continuing my hobbies on the road. I just know... there isn't room for everything!

Simply a beautiful design. Maybe you stated in your video and I missed it, but what is the weight of the black cardstock? And of course, everyone is out of the new G45 papers!

Debbie, This is such a great idea for an annual project! Seems like once we document our goals they are much more likely to get done. Great tutorial and very easy to follow along as you make the hinge system. I've made albums using this method but never one with 12 pages! I love how you folded and attached the pages making a nice top loading pocket. I checked Graphic 45 for the complete collection a couple days ago but they are out of stock. So waiting for them to restock. Thank you for sharing your beautiful planner and for putting this tutorial together!
