My little sister decided to have a cornbread contest between her, myself, brother and other sister, used your recipe and mopped the floor with them. Cornbread King!
I must admit the secret ingredient is always something I don’t like (sour cream) but girl that joint tops the whole recipe off❤❤ much love for even sharing this
It’s not often I look at a recipe and actually sit here drooling but this is one of those times this looks so good it’s Feb 2024 so maybe I’m late to the party but I’m gonna make this!
@@Ebb4612 Or you can use cream cheese (4 oz. for one box of Jiffy) instead of the sour cream, then add the creamed corn, some cheese and top with cheese too. So good!
I made this recipe this past Sunday for EASTER for the family and I am now appointed as the CORNBREAD maker for every holiday event. It was so easy to make. My family said they could taste all the ingredients especially the vanilla. When I want cake, I'd rather make this. A lil bit on the healthier side.
Hi. I'm back again. Its currently Thanksgiving and I've been using this recipe for 2 years. My wife HATED cornbread but now she requests this anytime I cook. (Girl she request this with pasta😂😂) I've started making her, her own pan because she eats through it so fast. Its moist. Sweet. Delicious. And i just want to thank you so much!
Chef here. Made this on Thanksgiving. Today is my second time making it. Hands down the quickest and best cornbread recipe out there. I suggest if you want it fluffier. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and fold it in right before you put it into the hot pan/bowl.
My husband and I love cornbread, and this version looks absolutely delicious! It’s a little too high in calories to be a regular thing, but it’ll make a grand dish to be consumed over a weekend as a dinner bread, breakfast treat, and “cake” for a midnight snack. I love the presenter’s soothing voice and style.
I'm taking this to my mother in laws birthday party tomorrow and they are going to freak out! They're German and I they love good southern recipes so I think it's going to be a hit! We're having ribs too so it a perfect pair.
This was such a hit with the family yesterday! Thank you!! I took it an extra step further and added a smashed sweet potato to the mixture before baking to go with the thanksgiving theme - Sweet Potato Cornbread and it was delicious
Ok, love cornbread and sweet potatoes. I've never thought of mixing the two. That is crazy!!!❤ how did it come out. I will try it. Love to make cornbread.
Middle of a snow storm and with a huge pot of homemade chili, THIS cornbread is EVERYTHING! Made in a cast iron skillet in the oven, my family says this recipe is beyond delicious! The directions are perfect. Used Amish butter for the honey butter glaze, and yes, it is fabulous in the morning with a cup of tea. Thank you so much for posting this. Without a doubt, this is absolutely THE BEST VIDEO recipe for cornbread!
Sweet baby Jesus, hands down this is the BEST cornbread I’ve ever made/eaten in my 46 years. Made it in a cast iron pan and I could’ve baked it for 2-3 more minutes (I did 20, my oven runs hot usually) because it was just a little too soft in the middle but that didn’t stop me from horking it down! So good!!!
I'm a 6'2" 250 lb manly man, and I'm proud to say that this video brought me to tears a little bit. You, and every second of your presentation just radiates a kind of love that is very touching, Thank you !
Every cornbread recipe I’ve tried comes out dry, so I’m going to try this. And a tip for you: spray your measuring spoon (or cup) with cooking spray before measuring out honey (or peanut butter) and it comes out so easily you won’t have to use your finger. 😊
@@JasminesKitchenn You’re welcome. Oh, and I learned this on IG: if you are measuring something saucy (catsup, mustard, etc. that doesn’t easily pour out of a measuring cup) into flour, you can press the measuring cup into the flour to make a well the same size and pour the ingredient directly into it. 😋
PEOPLE!! Listen to me please! I watched this video and made it that evening. Shared it with my new neighbors and they are in LOVE with me! It is ABSOLUTELY delicious!!!! I put the recipe together AS INSTRUCTED. Just wonderful!!!! I will make again and again and again and again, And . . . I don't even like cornbread! It's like cake!!!
Great video Jasmine. What you made using the brown sugar and vanilla is actually called Johnny Cake. My grandma made it for years, and passed the recipe down to all of us. I have never seen a video for it before so a big THANK YOU to you for that. We always make this during the holiday season and it's a big hit with everyone!!❤
@JasminesKitchenn It's actually the same recipe, you are the only other person that made it correctly. Most folks use granulated white sugar and don't use the sour cream. I am checking out your channel. Something tells me it's amazing
I made this tonight. It really is the best cornbread recipe! I was tired of dried up, falling apart corn muffins so I found this recipe and I'm so glad I did. Thank you so much! I will never go back!
Made some tonight and it was perfect, moist and fluffy, The last time I made my own version it was dry and crumbly.. I was like we not having that this time!! 😂😂😂 I'am grateful I came across your recipe, Thank you! 🙏🏽
We just made chili for dinner and I've been wanting some really good cornbread to have with it. This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I'm about to go make it right now.
I’ve made this 3 times for family events and it goes soooo fast. And every one compliments it. Thank you so much for this, you’ve helped me get compliments hahahaha and I tell them I get no credit, it’s all you 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I can't wait to try this. I grew up in Chicago and we always like our Jiffy bread on the sweet side so we always had a little bit of sugar and I have a friend that always adds a can of sweet cream corn. Can't wait to try this.
This is THE best cornbread recipe I've ever seen. It should be award winning. Ive made this dozens of times and am always amazed by the flavor and texture.
Omggg!! I made this today, some of the best cornbread I’ve ever had! Super moist, not extra sweet like I thought it was going to be (which I’m happy about). This was the perfect recipe! This was also my first time ever making my own, you gave great instructions! Thank you!
I still remember back in elementary school in the 80's (back when a lot of the cafeteria food was scratch made) we would occasionally be served corn bread with a sweet honey butter topping. I can still taste it, and I'll bet this is very similar 😋
TOUCHDOWN!!!!! (In honor of my Steelers making the playoffs). Made this to accompany my lentil stew tonight…INCREDIBLE!! I’m a Jiffy cornbread woman, so your recipe elevated it. My husband raved about it and ate 3 pieces. There’s a whole Dutch oven of lentils, a great excuse to make more cornbread.
OMG, this is the perfect cornbread. Been trying for months to try to perfect my cornbread. This was spot on. It was moist and had the perfect sweetness!! I love it!! Thank you!
The only cornbread I make, have made it several times. We like to have it with bean soup given how the sweet/salty play off each other. I use a 8" cast iron skillet giving the cornbread more depth for a thick slice. Excellent!
Thanks from all the young woman that don’t have mother figures to teach us recipes your much appreciated Passing down soul food recipes for generations to come ❤️💕
When I tell you this was the best cornbread I EVER HAD. My whole family was raving about it. Thank you for the recipe it was amazing. I followed the recipe exactly how you had it, just for the glaze I added a little of brown sugar on top of the honey butter and salt. It was amazing! Thank you honey ❤️❤️
I literally just made this without the sour cream because I didn’t have any. I also didn’t have granulated sugar but I have brown sugar… when I tell you this the most delicious cornbread I ever had… thank you so much for making this
2023 Gurlll I made this for dinner today & my family wanted me to tell u thank you…Yes! My WHOLE family said “go back & tell miss lady thanks” So Thank Youuu❣️ this was sooo good!!! #NewSubbie😘🫶🏾
Thank you so much Queen! I have been searching for a better sweet cornbread recipe and this is it. AMAZING 👏! Hardworking Dad that cooks, this made me a Rockstar!!!
jiffy was sold out but I used a honey butter cornbread mix and just followed the same ingredients for thanksgiving my family loved it now they want it for Christmas dinner, thank you!
WOW!! It was amazing, send some to my granddaughter last night for dinner and this morning she drove out of way to come and get some more. Thank you so much. 😊
Thank you, Miss Jasmine! I have made this recipe about 7 times now. It is a hit with my family. If it is on my 3 year old son's plate, he will forgo everything else and eat this cornbread...and any he sees on anyone else's plate! Thank you for such a great recipe and video. 😊
I am not a corn bread person because every time I have had it it has been very dry and crumbly, but this looks delicious! I cannot wait to make it! Thank you for this recipe!
I had to make an emergency batch of cornbread and could’ve sworn I had some jiffy boxes in my pantry, but I didn’t! I forgot I had some cornmeal in my freezer so it was time to improvise! I used your instructions as a base (while keeping my fingers crossed that it would work) and let me tell you, you saved my life! The melting butter in the pan technique is an absolute game changer! Thank you!
I’m so happy it worked out well for you. I’ll be sure to thank my grandmother for you 😆I’ve learned that technique from her lol Thankyou for watching 💕
Made this corn bread yesterday, it was the best tasting, delicious moist corn bread I’ve ever tasted. The toppings on the corn bread gave it that extra sweetness butter tasting. I made extra on the side for my husband, he likes it a lot. The best corn bread recipe hands down, this will be my go recipe from now on. Thank you for sharing ♥️
Just made it this recipe within the past hour, and it is perfection! Eating it with some chili too, and this cornbread is the balance for this meal. Notes: I warmed up my cast iron skillet on the stove on medium (instead of the oven to prevent the butter from burning initially) and cooked for 20 minutes. It was thoroughly cooked throughout and came out with the best crust. I wish I had european butter for the glaze (next time!); might try flavored honey for complexity. Definitely will make again forever. Thanks Jasmine!
Hello, You cooked the cornbread for 20 minutes in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop? Interesting. I'm going to try it that way. Did you cover it with foil?💓
@all ways, instead of heating the butter in the oven, i heated the butter on the stove, poured the filling then put it into the oven. That was the only change I made to her instructions.
@@Rachel-quinto Ooh I see, thank you so much for explaining that. That was my instinct as well, to melt the butter on the stove so I thought it was interesting if someone could cook it on the stove. I still wonder if that's possible.🤔
Jasmine I don’t know why RU-vid suggested this video to me but I’m thankful. I watched every minute. This looks so good. You did a great job with visuals and describing your method. I’m going to try your way. Liked. Subscribed and can’t wait to watch the rest of your vids. I hope RU-vid gives you a raise.
I made this last week and it is the best cornbread I’ve ever eaten. So delicious I’m making it again tonight. This will be the cornbread recipe I use for now on. Thank you!
Some corn bread, a quarter piece of baked chicken, beans, okra and some potatoes sound good right about now! Love your cornbread video ma'am, I like the sound of your soothing voice, and how you keep things moving along.
This recipe is my new crack. The highest butter fat I can get is 82%, but it totally works. Some people I know in the south blend crumbled bacon into the honey butter. Divine!
Thank you I appreciate you alway. I made your cornbread recipe today and it turned out delicious.I added nutmeg and cinnamon to my batter. I can’t believe I did it I’m going to always be making cornbread now,Peach,Apple,Banana, Blueberry,Cornbread
My Cajun grandparents would take a big chunk of cornbread and put it in a bowl and chop it up with a spoon to bite size pieces. Pour sweetened coffee and milk over the top and with a quick stir eat it like oatmeal. I bet this recipe would be amazing that way.
Girll!!!! You put me on to something! I use this recipe every time I make cornbread now and it’s amazing!!! The only thing I didn’t add was the sour cream because the first time I made it I didn’t have it in hand and liked how it tasted so I never use it but girlll!!!! Thank you!!! Y’all gotta try this 💕
Just made cornbread for the first time using your recipe and it was a huge hit!!! One thing I did after I glazed the top, I saved just a little of the glaze, put slits in the top using a butter knife, and glazed the top some more so the flavors would seep through the middle. Bellisimo!
I have made many jiffy cornbread recipes but this one by far is the best! This one is now in my recipe box and I’ve made it 3 times. It’s a keeper recipe! Thank you for sharing 👍🏼😋
This cornbread is definitely for a special occasion! It is absolutely delicious! Hubby calls it cornbread cake. Going to make this again this afternoon with homemade jambalaya. Thanks so much for the recipe and great video!
My second time making this in a matter of 2 weeks. This cornbread is is divine, so good! This time around I removed 2 spoonfuls of the brown sugar amount and it came out perfect. The first time I made it exactly as the recipe says, it was good but a little too sweet for me.
Since I’ve seen your recipe, I have been using it at every event, especially family, gatherings, and let’s just say there’s never leftovers the whole plate go missing. And as for cream I do the one Jamaican use to make rum cake
I was looking for a quick, easy, delicious last minute cornbread recipe to take to a friend's house for dinner and SIS you DELIVERED!!!! Soooo thankful for this!!! It was a hit!!! They're telling me they'll pay if I keep making them LOL thank you!!
Oh yes ! I've been watching a lot of cornbread dressing/pudding/casserole dishes lately and well doll, yours WINS. I'm going to make this for church potluck this Sunday. Looks and sounds amazingly delicious!!!!
Just made this & I didn't have sour cream but used some yogurt I had & I made them into muffins & it turned out delicious 😋 Definitely will be making again. Thank you for sharing & you have a new subscriber 😎💞
