I'm from a large Irish family where tea was the the only thing constantly brewing on the stove in our house. However my late mother had an Italian friend who she would visit almost daily. The moment the lady opened her back door the aroma of her little coffee pot bubbling away on her stove was amazing and the aroma seemed to fill every room in her home. Any excuse to tag along with mum I went. I would watch the Italian lady sip her coffee and she always looked so stylish and elegant as she drank it. To this day I never just drink a coffee. I always take 30 minutes out of my morning to make my coffee, pick up a magazine and just sit, drink and enjoy. God bless.
I love how you patiently went through all these methods of coffee making at home without traditional electronic coffee makers. So classy and I think any of these methods will help me enjoy my coffee even more as a busy mom! I think I like the French press the best, however I could see myself going to the ceramic pour over often. Thanks for the tips, Nikki!
AtHomeWithNikki ,where may I find the square filter? I found this carafe in Walmart, not fancy and gorgeous like your, but same way,but no filter in there 😞, may I use the regular filter, the one you had used for the ceramic one??
My husband and I were just talking about getting a french press!! And you have just given me the best lessons!!1 Thank you for always introducing us to knew things!!!
I am a coffee addict, so I am loving this series! I have never tried the french press! I am so curious! I get my beans ground at Starbucks but it would be neat to do them at home. Much love!!
Lol! My kind of friend haha! Oh I believe you will love the French press. True, plus would cost less which is always great :). Thanks so much for watching. Hugs and Love Nik
I have not used any of these methods. I have been shopping lately for a French press. I am 59 yrs old but have only been drinking coffee for a couple of years now. I really appreciate all the information provided here. I learned a bit that I did not know. You inspire me regularly. Again, thank you!
⭐️⭐️⭐️Hi Nicky, in my family we all love coffe, we use the French press for making our coffe, There is nothing more perfect that a good chat sorounder by your family😍
Hi Nikki I love Coffee, can't live without it. I especially love the Ceramic Pour over Method, it's so quick and easy seeing that I love having my coffee on impulse. No mess, no fuss. It's right in my cup and clean up is a breeze. Love it! Thank You!
This is a great series for all of us coffee lovers. I watched last weeks series also and tried making a coconut milk latte. It was a total fail lol. I need some better tools. I like the easy way of making coffee with a pour over method right into your cup. That seems nice for just one cup of java!!! Love your videos..❤️
Thank you Nikki for this video. My daughter worked at Starbucks for 5 yrs. She introduced me to all methods you went over. My personal favorite is the ceramic pour over. Thank you for this give away!
Thank you soooo much for this video Nikki! My husband loved it. While he was saddened to hear that he has been making his French press coffee all wrong!! That's why I think this gift basket would be perfect for him. He loves to learn and try new things normally. But he is pretty run down. Since our first wedding anniversary my health has declined dramatically For the last two years, he has been working full time all while Looking after the house, the laundry, the cleaning, paying bills, and me! It is because of his stepping up to the plate that I feel he is deserving of your gift basket. And I just know that he will be sharing the basket with so many others. God bless you Nikki!
I love coffee more than the Girlmore Girls😂 seriously. I'm SO happy I found you on Instagram!! you just always have the best posts! thank you for this video. I LOVE this coffee series. I can actually smell it!my favorite is definitely the POUR OVER! I've never tried it and I'm very intrigued! keep the videos coming!! 😊💜✌🌼☕☕☕☕🍵
I never knew how those french presses were used until now. I can't wait to get me one and try it. In Puerto Rico, we boil the coffee grounds then strain them using a cloth strainer. I grew up seeing my grandma make it that way for years. Thank you for showing me new ways to make coffee.
A French Press - such an elegant way to have a cup of coffee with a friend or loved one. I also love that you grind your coffee beans for each serving. They are fresher and you can definitely taste the difference. I have never tried or seen "how to" use a French Press. Thank you for demonstrating that for us. My favorite method, still would be the single cup method with the filter. And I love the fact that you clean/rinse the filter! Everything you do is done with such class. I love your videos!
I bought a ceramic pour over more than a year ago (maybe 2) and have NEVER used it. Thank you so much for showing me how easy it is. I will be making a cup in the morning! You are such an inspiration, I have been binge watching all your videos. Thank you!!!
This Coffee At Home series is right on time. I'm the only coffee drinker at home so I tend to spend a lot of time and money frequenting coffee shops. I've been searching for ways to get that same taste at home. Today's method of the French Press was a great option.
My husband and I love using a french press and I appreciate your detailed instructions so we can improve our method. Thank you also for introducing me to the Chemex. I've never used one but think I may have to try it. I love your very informative videos ~ thank you!!
Hi Nikki! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. The French press would be my favorite method. I don't own one but my great grandmother used it when I was a kid and every time I see a French press it reminded me of her. When I used to spend the night, she would make the coffee at 5am and I remembered how good the house smelled because of the coffee. I always believed that the French press made the coffee so much better! Thanks Nikki!
Nikki your videos have made me addicted....just the way i am addicted to having coffee almost any time of the day (or night) :) being a mother of 2 toddlers my routine gets very hectic at times.....and enjoying that one amazing cup of coffee makes my day. of course i do not have all of the fancy gadgets used in the video but still makes my day. i would love to incorporate these in my life. Thanks Nikki.
Definitely love the French press method. I was not too familiar with it until a few years ago when I visited my dad and this is the method he uses and I really loved it.
I just love this new series of coffee videos. my favorite is the pour over method as sometimes we just need one or two cups of coffee. Very simple! thanks Nikki!
One of my favorite childhood memories is waking up in the morning by the smell of a freshly made coffee my father used to make 💕 I prefer the french press out of the three methods. Very informative video Nikki! Thank you!
I am in love with the French Press method. I have been nervous about trying to do it but your instructions make me feel like I can do it like a pro! Love love love!
Hi Nikki, Nikki here! First I must say you are such an inspiration. I'm a coffee lover so I was stoked when you introduced this series. My fav pour over method I'd say is the ceramic one featured at the end of the video. I love the look and no mess, no fuss convenience it provides. ☕️💕
The smell of coffee brewing reminds me of my grandfather. I was always trying to sneak a sip from his cup! I've recently discovered the French press method thanks to a friend, but haven't tried doing it on my own. Its becoming a new favorite!
When I saw that you were doing a coffee series, I was instantly excited! I am a coffee addict and have been since I was 13 (I'm 21 now).Though I haven't tried it myself, I'm liking the french press method. I'm sure I will figure it out ,thanks to your videos. I have been asking for an espresso machine since I began nursing school last year and my wish has not been granted. I dislike having to stop every morning to buy it and would rather make it myself, whenever I please. It is absolutely essential , alongside a good hot cup of coffee.
Thank you for letting me how to use my French Press correctly. After 30 years, I now correctly grind my coffee coarsely and not let it sit in the press. Love your channel.
Even us old-timer coffee people can learn new techniques! The ceramic drip method looks like one that would work when I just need one cup. Have used a french press, but have not replaced it since I broke it. Cleaning the filter is a new technique. Can't wait to try it.
Love the simplicity of the ceramic pour over method! Will definitely need to get one, seems like a great way to get that perfect cup of coffee to start the day!
Hello Nikki! My name is Julia, and I absolutely love the French press. Thank you for the useful tips, I never had thought of letting the coffee sit for 40 seconds, before you told me. Now I hope my coffee will be even better. Love, Julia.
Hi Nikki! My favorite coffee presentation was the frenchpress and pour over methods! You are such a Kind Inspirational leader! Words could never express how much you imspire and motivate me DAILY! Keep them coming! God Bless❤
This video was great because not only did I learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee at home but I finally learned what the difference is between all these forms of coffee
Even though it is nice sometimes to go out for a cup of joe, I love having a good cup of coffee and tea at home either by myself or with my family. I am actually going to create a coffee and tea station as soon as it is warm enough in my enclosed breezeway. My youngest daughter and I are so excited to do this and your videos have given me so many awesome ideas on how to create a lovely space! Thank you so much for all that you do!! 💕💕
My husband and I have been looking at the French Press. I think the ceramic single coffee cup maker is pretty neat. This is a coffee lovers dream giveaway. I hope you are having a great day Nikki.
Nikki, I am a coffee lover. I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm a teacher and love my coffee in the morning. It wakes me up and gives me energy to keep up with them!! Lol Thanks for all your good tips and ideas. Debbie
Hi Nikki... I absolutely love the pour over carafe method! I also can appreciate the detailed instructions you've given us on how to allow the gases to release first. I never knew that. THANK YOU for all that you do for your subscribers.
I'm a barista.... I so enjoyed your video on how to make that perfect cup of coffee. I love how you showed all the gadgets that we need to have to make that perfect cup of coffee. I've been wanting for so long now to buy the right stuff. I don't own a coffee machine because I work at a coffee shop and never felt to have to get one but lately I've been wanting to make my own coffee at home. So I have been thinking about getting a French press. Again I so love your video and all the information I got from it. I also love the gadgets you have to make that perfect coffee. Thanks again🙂🤗
Omg! A giveaway! Thanks, Nikki! I've been looking for a stovetop espresso since watching your first coffee series! The French press is the one pour over coffee way that I like the most! ❤ God bless you and your family more, Nikki! Thanks for this series!
Hi Nikki, I love the french press method, I can just imagine sitting outside with my friends wearing extravagant hats drinking coffee and just enjoying life and each our friendship with each other while eating french pastries. LOL Thank you Nikki again.
Nikki your absolutely amazing I've never seen anything like this.... you absolutely are the best organizer I've ever seen you should do it as a side job! I've seen people with some organizational skills but nothing compared to your style!! I love when you do the backpacks for school and I love your favorite planners 🌸😘💕
I am a coffee lover, so this series is right up my alley. Have been thinking about trying a french press and after watching your video, I am sold. That kettle with the temperature gauge would be an awesome addition to my coffee station.
Thank you for sharing how to use the Chemex! We received one as a wedding gift, 28 years ago! It was used early on, but has been in the cupboard these many years for the most part. I just had a wonderful pour over coffee at a local donut shop recently, so this will be coming out of the cupboard! And your kettle with the temperature gauge is a must! We love coffee in our house, so all these ways will be coming to use soon. Thank you for being so generous in your giveaways, you are a blessing!
Hello Nikki! I've only started drinking coffee this year, and since I don't have much space for a coffee machine I only drink to-go coffee. My favorite brewing method is the French press. It is quick and easy and best of all, doesn't take much counter space! Thank you so much for all these giveaways
My absolute favorite method of making coffee is the French press method. A friend introduced it to me some years ago and I was instantly hooked. These were the days when I felt that all coffee was brewed the same. Not at all. I had my first taste of French press and instantly became a fan!!!
I'm am so enjoying this series! My favorite method is the ceramic filter method! I had no idea they made ceramic filters that could make a single serving of coffee right into your cup! Thanks for the tip on heating your cup first before brewing. I can't stand when my coffee gets cold before I finish it. Thanks so much for sharing!
Hi Nikki,I have been totally obsessed with your videos and your method of organizing. I am a teacher and mother and this is definitely a tool that is needed for both! I recently bought my first house and have been following most of your tips for organizing and I cannot express how much you've helped. My family and I are real coffee lovers! We mostly use the french press to make our coffees on the weekends since during the week, we have less time to do so. However, I am now 6 months pregnant with my second child and coffee gives me really bad hearburns!!! I can tell you one thing: I am looking forward to give birth to have that perfect cup of coffee again... and to meet my precious second! :) Keep up the great videos! Xox
Nikki I have been watching you for quite some time. So excited to see a coffee series. This has been so helpful. There are so many different times I wanted to learn these methods but it can be over whelming. I love the French press and I am so excited to get some of these gadgets and impress my husband! Funny fact when we met he didn't like coffee and now he loves it!!!! God bless!!!!
Hi Nikki! I liked the glass carafe the most! The method is completely new to me but I like that its minimal and doubles as a unique piece of kitchen decor. Thanks for the coffee lessons and all the info!
Nikki thank you so much for sharing. I started 4months ago with fresh coffee and I'm still learning so these videos are just in time . now I have more confidence in making fresh coffee LOL I love the French press method because it seems easier for me. Thanks again for your tips.
My favorite system you shared was the French press. I love that you don't have to have a filter for it. I loved the two tips regarding cleaning the filter and heating your cup.
I LOVE this video ❤️❤️! My favorite technique has to be the French press! I like the option of making 2 cups at one time so that you and another person can enjoy while having great conversation ❤️. I'm going to watch this again so I can take notes!
I really enjoy watching your coffee series! My favorite brewing method is the french press, but after watching your videos, I want to try every method! Thank you for sharing!
I am so glad I watched this video! I have a french press and throughly enjoy it, but now that I know I should allow the coffee grounds to "bloom" for a bit prior to pouring all of the hot water over them, I will enjoy my french press even more! I also appreciate the filter cleaning tip! I love watching your videos and this is one more that I will treasure.
I love a French press coffee. It was fun seeing all of the different pour over methods. I recently found you and I have been going back and watching all of your organizational videos. Just beautiful and inspiring thank you so much for what you do.
Hi nikki!! I appreciate you for organising giveaways...... It depicts how much you love your subscribers. You gift your viewers from time to time as a sense of gratitude. You are literally one of the most generous person I have ever seen. I hope you go more ahead in your life just like this 😃.. My favourite was the French press method of making coffee 😙💜
I really enjoyed learning about new techniques I've never even known about before! My favorite was the ceramic pour over for just a single cup of coffee. My husband and I have never been fans of coffee (we've been married nearly 49 years!) but I'm beginning to acquire a taste for it. I guess we just never grew up!!
I loved learning about different pour-over techniques for coffee! I had been interested in trying the French press and had watched some RU-vid video tutorials. Yours is the best! Thank you.
You are just too kind! It's hard to choose because they are all great ideas. I suppose I would use the last idea you presented the most because I would mainly be making coffee for myself. But the coffee press comes in handy when you have guest. Once again you have out done yourself. Thank you Nikki and keep the videos coming.
After my French press broke a few months ago, I went for a cheap ($8 after all the discounts) 12-cup drip coffee maker. It got me by, and I drank way too much coffee in the process! This video brought me back to the missed joy of my French press, and reminded me that it's not necessary to have a Keurig or a nearby café to enjoy one cup at a time. Thanks Nikki!
Thanks Nikki for suggesting the rinsing of the filter. I have used the single cup pour over method (my very favorite) for years and never rinsed the filter. It does make a difference!
I used to use the french press until one day the glass shattered because my water was too hot. I definitely need to find the kettle you have! It's stunning and love that it has a gauge for the temperature of the water. My favorite method is the ceramic pour over. I love the convenience of it but have had troubles with consistency of the strength of the coffee but with your tips it will no longer be a problem thanks to your video! I had no idea you were supposed to let the coffee grounds bloom. Thank you so much for doing this coffee series!
The French press method is my favorite. I've been debating on trying this for such a long time... you've motivated me to give it a try. You made it look so simple.
Hi! The Ceramic method was my favorite. It seems simple and right to the point. If I ever get a moment to chill and make a cup the French way I'm sure I would love it
Hi Nikki I am an absolutely ardent coffee lover !! The French press is my favorite coffee maker but sadly I broke mine while traveling last month.. I love the convenience of making a single cup in minutes. I loved how detailed and in depth your coffee making methods were. I just love listening to you. Your voice is so calming and friendly. Love coffee. Love you Nikki ❤️
