I sauté my vegetables in olive oil, then add the egg, cover and turn the fire off. 5 or 6 minutes and voila

That is a French Omelette. My French omelettes have been failures. They turned out Westerny . I like both French and Western ( Denver Western American etc. it is actually harder browner versus no brownie and creamy ) but the goal was to make a French . I think the lid and the no heat at the end is the key . I have to try it and will not give up if I have a failure . I will not put veggies in it , only cheese because I believe a French Omelette shouldn’t have veggies or meat . Anyway this guy could have the equivalent of Chef Gordon Ramsay’s scrambled egg i.e. the definitive recipe, approach , and technique .

I flip mine. The egg wasn’t done. And I noticed the biggest difference between peoples omelets is that some people roll the toppings in between and others cook it as one piece and it’s rolled up

This did not taste good to me. It was flavorless and a little underdone. I’m used to a little milk in my eggs. Both my grandmothers and mom used milk. Always tasted just fine to me. A splash of water in the eggs made it taste icky. I’m a big believer of watching your food closely while on the stove, that way you know if the food is getting done or not. Thanks anyway for the video, you have a beautiful kitchen.
