Suggestion, after you make the first cut save the scrap. Pick up the next pin and use the scrap as a guide to cut the second pin, then using that scrap, pick up two pins and cut them longer than the scrap in your hand. Then using one of your new scraps, hold it next to two more pins and cut those pins a bit longer than the scrap in your hand.
