Using the Kadence 3.0 theme, here's how to make three images the same size using the image overlay block in a row layout block.
Original question: If I set a row with 3 columns, and place an image overlay in each column, how can I set the size of each image to be the same for all 3?
Two quick short answers:
1. Use the Image Ratio setting of the image overlay block.
2. Make sure all of the images are in the same ratios (or have the same widths and heights).
I love Kadence blocks ;)

Terrific video I had forgotten about the Image Overlay, I often go through contortions to maintain image aspect ratio over all devices and that block does it...Lot's of people like the Cover Block, but it does not maintain the original aspect ratio over all devices, and drove me nuts.....Thanks

How do you find out what size the 3 columns are so you can make the images the right size to fit before uploading them?

The size can vary, scale, respond, position, etc ... I'd try using squares - squares generally work well. Ummm ... a little tough to answer without some context. 🤠

@@CoachingSitesThatWork yeah so when I create a row layout with 3 columns I get 3 sections. I know it will vary because of the options width narrow boxed full width etc settings. But I want to be able to know exactly what width the sections are so I can resize my images to fit perfectly without kadence needing to resize them to fit. But if I click on the settings it will allow me to change the width pixels em etc but doesn't show me what size it is to start with.

"start with" ... that'll vary depending on the screen .... so I don't think there is a starting size. If I understand what you're asking for. On a 15inch screen, the starting size is different. For your device, let's say you could take a screenshot and then go back to the starting size. I try to design for responsiveness, so I use ratios. for most screens, like, say, 12-inch -15-inch, with current-day resolutions, laptops, I'd say a 900-px width doable ... maybe go to 1200-px for longevity of images. Square images tend to work well all around - laptops, phones. etc. Oh the joy of getting things to look right. ;D
