I did a photo shoot with an Eritrean family and after, they insisted I stay for coffee. I had no clue that it would be freshly roasted and made just like this. I appreciated the hospitality, the wonderful array of snacks, the conversation and learning about Eritrean culture and traditions. The coffee was so delicious that I looked for it on RU-vid and found this video. 😋 I’m returning to their home for coffee making lessons.
@@shapelessjourneys1325 It was nice. She was a new mom, new to the country with not many friends, so it was a pleasure for her to be able to share her hospitality with me. I could sense she wanted to company so I stuck around the extra hour or so. The best coffee and she popped popcorn for me while I waited for her to roast the beans. So sweet.
I’m only 11, I’m also Ethiopian! My grandparents made me make it and I was CLUELESS, lol. So this helped and I have successfully made it. Lol but thanks for the video
I worked at a coffee shop for over a year and I never knew how to make coffee the traditional way. This video was so enlightening. Thank you so much 🙏🏾❤️
I’m a coffee fan , The way its made is much better then any other coffees in the world . It’s Light , filtered , with it’s pure full natural tastes, not watery like American coffee , not too strong & feeling in the heart like Italian coffee , not sandy feeling in the tung like Turkish Coffee . It’s perfect ..
i like how simple this is. because of how mainstream coffee has become, everyone thinks you have to be a roastmaster to make coffee properly. when ethiopians have been doing it themselves over open fires and on their stovetops. my favorite variety is harrar, but id love to go to ethiopia and try all the different, undocumented ones they have, ive heard there's literally thousands.
Harar is one of the best. As well as sidama Down south and jimma where coffee ceremony 1st began and the ritual there is a whole ceremony and dance we do it began in jimma Ethiopia coffee discovered in Kaffa Ethiopia 💞
This video was a refresher. I totally forgot how many times it has to come up before serving it. Growing up in Eritrean, I was not supposed to learn it because it was not a manly thing, but living in Ethiopia taught me coffee making. And the fifth cup is the best. Shared your video.
I m from India,Kerala I like the preparation ,#coffee lover👌👌( I hear this Ethiopian coffee "bunna" From a travel documentary "sancharam ". )Really nice
It has been three years since you made this clip and I am aware of that.. but if you are willing and it is convenient.. I am happy to contact you... for business purposes... And I am also from Eritrea living in London. I already left my email in my text below... Many thanks
