Can I leave out the Triethanolamine? I don’t have that, or use something else in place? Also, can I substitute the sorbitol for white sugar and is it the same amount 200g to 100g water? Thank you.

I tried this recipe, after adding lye solution, it becomes solid even if i added very slowly, but at the end some 15% soap is in solid form balance liquid i filtered in the mould which was transparent. Please let us know how to dissolve that 15% undissolved soap wasted.

Did u heat it after oils turned to solid form??...when you notice it is becoming solid then the main thing to do is to heat it again or keep the flame low while adding lye solution to oils...or after adding lye....Do this.. Melt the transparent one and add the solid 15%soap to it...heat it until it melts on very low flame....melt together both the soaps the transparent and solid 15% soap and pour it in molds..

It’s due to steric acid, it sopanifies super fast, just blend it till pass a fase we call mash potstoes and cover it for 5 min, and you’ll notice it got to vaseline fase and keep adding the solvents. It is hot, stick blend, and cover till it’s transparent.

i' can't explain it...it's a lenghty process....and sometimes i myself gets confused while calculating some soap base recipes and their percentages...can't explain it .......and i am not a professional soap maker...it's just for personal and family use....

May be there is problem in lye (sodium hydroxide) or some measurement issues while measuring oils ....remelt the soap base and pour in molds to set and see..hope this helps

yes....every soap base which has glycerin in it or any other solvents which are humectants which attract moisture from air sweats ....so yes it will sweat in hot humid weather

We made according to your procedure. After the base gets solidify , moisture arises from the base which shines on the surface. Please suggest solution.

Oh!! it didnt happen to my soap base...may be due to quality of lye or oils ...can't figure it out exactly....do one thing....cut the soap base into small pieces and melt it using double boiler method and pour it in molds.....and wrap soap base after removing from molds...leaving the soap base for long without wrapping makes the soap sweat or attract moisture present in air due to glycerin ....and it happens in hot and humid temperatures..try remelting it ...

You need to wrap it! Glycerine attracts mlisture from air.

No it won't catch fire...You can switch off flame while adding hot lye solution to hot oils....and if necessary you can switch on flame later after adding lye solution and continue the process soap making....

1.Cocamidopropyl betaine is not available in my country. Is it ok only to add Sorbitol 200g to the solution? 2. Before pouring the solution to the molds do we have to sanitize with ethyl alcohol?

if you skip cocabetaine... the lather/foam from soap will be less....yes you can sanitize molds before pouring soap...
