I remember with nostalgia my time spent in Istanbul (being international truck driver for a Turkish company) and my boss calling me every morning for the coffee ritual. Long time past but since I'm the coffee maker at home and at the parties where we are invited. The people are so excited drinking my coffee they told me should receive a master degree for it 😂😂😂. Greetings from Spain!

@elkamynante8214 I’m just learning to make Turkish coffee, because I’ve been watching Turkish soap operas. I have a cezve and Turkish coffee grounds. Every time I make it, apparently, when I skim the foam, I pick up coffee grounds, so that when I drink the coffee there’s very little foam and lots of coffee grounds, to the point you can’t drink it. Could you please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thank you

I never knew I owned a Turkish coffee pot (I’m sorry I don’t want to misspell the traditional name). I bought it at a antique store and just thought it looked beautiful. My copper pot and wood handle is all engraved. I always used it as a ladle. Thank you for this video because now I can give my coffee pot the respect it deserves and try a new way at coffee. I already make my coffee by hand so this is actually really exciting.

If you're making Turkish coffee, it MUST be a very, very fine grind, almost like flour. Otherwise it's gonna suck like the one in this video 😀

This is the best tutorial on RU-vid how to make Turkish coffee. I followed these steps and made the best Turkish coffee. Mixing all ingredients before heating does improve the taste. Thank you.

@aamermels. I agree with you. I’ve been making Turkish coffee following different RU-vid channels and I found that the best tasting is the one in which you mix all ingredients and then, put it on the stove

I have just made Turkish coffee for the first time. My coffee habits have just been changed somewhat. It is well worth the time it takes to make it properly. I use no sugar. If you don't actually boil it beyond that rise around the edges of the pot, it doesn't get too bitter. If one is a coffee lover, one Must try real Turkish coffee. It is an experience not to be missed. I am the cook at my house, always trying new things. Very glad I found this channel.

This brings back memories... I have not had Turkish coffee in probably 25 years. It was once a staple of my parents generation, but mine never continued the tradition. I recall it being made both ways -with either milk or water. People would generally bring back and only use coffee beans from their trips back to "The Old Country" just to keep to the coffee's character. Always served with some type of sweets. I still have an old Turkish coffee set and grinder on my bookshelf... Think I'm going to take a crack at it again for old time sake:-)

I absolutely LOVE to submerge myself in cultures from around the world. I have found that one of the best ways to honor cultures is to try their foods and beverages. As a coffee lover, enjoying a traditional cup of Turkish coffee is one of my favorite ways of doing exactly that. The entire process, or "ritual" as I like to call it, is so incredibly rewarding. Thank you so much for creating this video and keeping your customs alive. I love it!

The first time I made a pot of Turkish coffee, I legitimately did not move my pot ever. My mother said that her mother taught her to NEVER touch or say certain things when particular food is being cooked. Otherwise, that thing will never cook right. This may be an Asian thing… or not.

We usually pour in to a cup a little first time simmering to get the foam and simmer the rest a bit more before put it all in the cup. This way it cooks better and the foam will be lighter color. I saw this transferring the foam with a spoon only made by Iranian lady making "Turkish coffee".

Best video thus far. I make bosnian coffee which is basically same thing. I could never make the krema on top. Now i know why. Bosnians add the coffee onto the Heat (without water) so the coffee toasts. then add boiling water and they say it should rise (boil over) 1-2 times But this kllls the krema/foam. Unless I am doing it wrong. This video is better. Thank you
