VEGAN PANDESAL | Made in the Simply Bread oven
It’s finally here! Kym Estrada from San and Wolves Bakeshop shows us how to make a popular Filipino breakfast bread called Pandesal-roughly translated, this means ‘salt bread.’ In the 17th century, this bread was brought over by the Spanish when they colonized the Philippines; it was originally their own version of a wheat flour baguette. However, because wheat flour was not common in the Philippines, other flours were used, weakening the bread’s structure and transforming it into the soft and pillowy Pandesal that we know and love today. Give her recipe a try; we’d love to see your bakes!
