I am happy to hear it! They are gathered at the bottom but I wish I had made the gathers not as tight as I did and just trust the elastic a little better as they are a little snug on his calf. My advice if you are making this as a gift is to try and sneak his measurements to make it fit proper! Other than that I am curious to hear how it turns out! 😍 Good luck and have fun!

I WAS going to last december but I don't know what type of scatterbrain moment took over because it got completely messed up BUT it should work! @@birtarnb about pockets? From what I've heard pockets aren't historically accurate. Not reliable sourse, my opinion shouldn't matter, better check it, but i will stick to what i know

Ah no I know the vikings didn't have pockets, I think (and hope) I never claimed this make to be completely historically accurate since the vikings didn't have sewing machines either not elastic, just made this as a fun gift for my husband that looks close enough to resamble an viking outfit/costume so he can hopefully dress up for the viking festival in Hafnarfjörður. I am sorry if this was misleading. But it's a good point and I might make a more historically accurate outfit sometime later for myself and then rely on what has been written in icelandic texts about the outfits, not go off on look alone
