Good idea. cutting the bevel in the wood instead of the tile probably makes more sense if you want to make more than just one tile.. also adding vegetable oil to the aluminium foil and loosely insert it from the top makes it a lot easier to get the gypsum out again once it’s cured. :) I currently do that for a 3x4 m wall, and made 600 of 900 needed tiles so far.. if I would disassemble the frame every time and carve out each tile by hand, I would need over a year to get where I got in 2 weeks now :)
this is my favorite way to make stone/rock/brick"face" If I may suggest another technique: use the clear tape (you had in this video) and apply to a sheet of A. Foil. apply to the backside, NOT the plaster side. I found it gives more strength and able to form the shape and hold better. lastly, always try to use the "extra Strength" foil. Or thicker foil. Hope it helps as it did for me. Blessings to all
Happy New year...Suggestion remove the water mark from the center of the video does not allow the viewer to watch the video as should be...place it on the top left side in small letters so it will not get annoyingly painful to in your face type of thing...thanks..cleaver idea with the foil
