My first Amaryllis gave me four flours on one stem, I love this plant! It has grown so tall! My second plant has two flower stems coming up.

I couldn't get mine to flower again for years even thought I'd water, let them get plenty of sun and fertilize until I came across a tutorial that told me to stop doing all of that and placing them in a dark place. In a matter of one month, all of them started growing flower stalks!

Love this plant got it on Christmas clearence sale for $4 double row .

I was able to grow 5 flowers with one stem 🤗

We bought two white and one red last year it was a pleasure to see these beautiful flowers in my house. I since replanted the bulbs outside inside cinderblocks being careful to leave shoulder out. It's December 1 Florida. I still only have folage no flowers 😒what am I doing wrong? Should I wait a bit longer? Or replant them inside?

You know...I have grown these so called 'Christmas' amaryllis here in south Fla.for decades. Like $5-9 a bulb in a box. I have NEVER gotten one to re-bloom. I assumed it is to hot for them to go grow all spring-fall. Then not cool enough to go dormant and set a new bloom spike in the bulb. Right? To cold in the fridge, for the bulb to go dormant and still live. Right? And not cold enough outside to go dormant to re-bloom, right? I can re-bloom the expensive rare ones, like Papillio, but they like the heat. I have a 'Minerva' in bloom now, it was suppose to be 'VooDoo', a deep maroon color, but this is what I got from Wal-mart for $5. So..once this is done, its in the trash...right? Or how do we in the deep south make them re-bloom?

Thank you for the brief look at amaryllis (without music!!). Is it possible to just keep the amaryllis as a houseplant year round without putting it into dormancy? Or will it just never bloom again that way? I rescued mine from the trash (!), so I have no idea what it is other than 'large'. I'm in Northern Europe. Thanks!

My amaryllis plants never want to go dormant. I didn't water them for weeks and they stayed green.

Hi. I live in the caribbean. December 2015 I received an amarillys bulb I planted as directed and for January 2016 I had three beautiful flowers. After some days the flowers dissapears. I put the bulb in a sun light place and began to have new leaves until now. I would like to re-flower again, however I don't know how to do it. Can you, please, tell me how to do it? I live in the Phoenix are and planted my bulbs in the ground and my Amaryllis did bloom nicely and are still growing and are have new bulb offshoots in the ground. Can I leave them in the ground over the winter here?

I have been growing these a few years now mine bloomed in February this year. I just cut the leaves back today. I had my white one with eight blooms. Although I didn't fertilize. How long should I wait to put them away? And when should I take them out? I want them to bloom for Christmas not V day

my flowers died and I cut the stalks but I have long green leaves 2 months after all the flowers died, how do I get this to bloom again? do I have to cut the leaves or will it reflower without cutting off the leaves and putting it in a dormant state?

Great video - thank you!! Question please -- today is Feb 12 and I planted the bulb on January 12. The leaves have grown to 40 inches but no flower yet!! I've been able to keep them upright using supports. But, they keep growing and they will soon choke me. I'm sure of it. What to do? I wonder if I should cut off or trim off the leaves? Please help me before these lil boogers keep growing and inhale me live.

Hi, I forgot two pots of Amaryllis in dormancy in the basement. I took them out this spring and to date they have grown the green leaves, one taller than the other, the other is very short but will not do anything else. The leaves look healthy and shiny but they seem to have stopped growing. I didn't repot them, should I? I'm not sure what to do at this point but would love to see flowers on them one day, thank you.
