Everything was pretty solid but the only recommendation that I have is either delete the black layer when exporting or turn in the .PSD file so we can remove the black background before printing. If you leave the black then it will create a black box that isn't so attractive. Instead when creating the file use a transparent background or export with the black layer hidden so the text will free float on the shirt.
That’s what I want to learn how to get rid of the box so it looks more authentically designed...his shirt looks great btw...I want to see a tutorial on how to do it
I'm new to illustrator and I'm having problems with the eraser tool. the eraser tool leaves a black outline shape and I don't know how to fix this. any Idea why this is happening?
In Illustrator, the eraser doesn't work as in other software as Photoshop. Think that Illustrator is made to work with vectors, so what eraser does is CHANGE the shape you created by deleting a part of it. So, for example, if you have a square and you try to delete with the eraser one of the corners, it wont get rid of the outline the square has on that corner, since you're not deleting it but changing its shape, so this new shape will generate the outline around it. I hope you understood ^^

He's doing a Clipping Mask... Select the top image, Right click on it and select clipping mask and that will place the top image inside the shape/area below it.
Or you just go with the mouse pointer on the line between the layers, press alt and the cursor will change to a down pointing arrow, just click and it. S done.
Hello, on the blending option, what do you mean by hold "option" and move the arrow to split them into two? What's the "option" that needs to be hold ?
6:38 im having issues forcing an image into another. I'm pressing the ALT key (windows) but all it does is copy the layer instead of forcing it. Im on Photoshop CS6.

I use printful to print. When I set my PPI to 300 it says the DPI is 100. So, I took it into AI and set the DPI and it worked. But not sure if this is the right way. How do I get the DPI and PPI to match?
nbr_matt908 yeah just select the layer and right click. then press clip layer or layer clipping. something along those lines. it should create a down arrow to the layer below it. if that doesn’t help then make sure the layers are in the correct order and select the top one, drag it in between the top and middle layer, and that should do it.
you forgot to say it should be a cmyk project cause the colors might look different if u print a rgb color project but i learned some new stuff from you so thank you

Anyone know why he converted the grudge background into a smart object and then rasterized it? Won't that make the image blur if you shrink it and then make it big again?

If you’re image isn’t forcing I tried clicking the Eye next to effects (hide I guess) and it worked. So hold ALT hover in between to merge them. then click the eye next to effects. Newbie helping another newbie. Be blessed.

So, I was kinda hoping you'd cover RGB and CMYK in a little more detail as far as how to save the image as PNG. I'm designing shirts with distressed edges that leave that torn look, with a transparent backgrounds to print to black t-shirts. I'm not quite sure how I can create an image in RGB mode; save the design; convert it to CMYK, then save as a PNG. I know it's not possible, but I need a PNG to send to printer. How did you manage to print to a t-shirt using RGB. There are several colors involved and I don't want to lose them. If I'm creating the file at the start in RGB mode, isn't that the palette I'm left with? I read somewhere that I can create an image in CMYK mode then I can Quick Export to PNG and somehow it'll save the CMYK palette and not RGB. Would you happen to know if that's true. Am I overthinking this? I'm new at this so bare with me. I appreciate your time and answer. I'm using PS CC. Thanks, Orlando

How do you force the New York image into The Grunge background on windows 10?? No option button on my end but I did try shift, Ctrl, alt while squeezing it in between the layers to force it in but it didn't work.
